Ready to read about a real-life Orwellian nightmare that happened right here in the good ol' US of A?

The bureaucrats at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention bought data from tracking companies to monitor Americans' locations in real-time during the reign of COVID, according to contracts obtained by the Epoch Times.

The CDC paid $420,000 to one company and $208,000 to another, gaining access to location data from a minimum of 55 million cellphone users, the purchase orders show.

This article actually references research and an article by Epoch Times and links to the article. However, the Epoch article is a "premium" and behind a paywall, so I'm posting the Not The Bee version since it quotes the pertinent info from the original article. They would need cell tower pings for me. Location option is always in the off position or phone is off. And guess what? Not everybody carries a cell phone with them 24/7. Weird huh?

I didn’t see the dates on the contract. James okeefe is back, maybe he or weirdly enough Snowden can help us all out.

All those responsible need to rot in prison. That’s a lot nicer than what I really like to be done.

I was just setting up a new tablet, turned off all sorts of location and feedback options. But then I figured why bother, they’re getting the information anyway. They’re just making me feel like I am protected.

People are shocked to learn that not everyone carries a cell phone 24/7. My hubby has an old flip phone that just sits on the charger. I remind him to take it when he goes to the hardware or feed store, in case of an emergency, but the feds would get awfully bored tracking his movements.

I don’t too much more than he does, so they would just have to add the grocery and dollar store to my list. I guess they might get excited if we go on a trip in the RV, but state parks in the middle of no where usually get very poor reception, and once again boredom would probably set in.

Infectious Disease ping - The CDC ensuring compliance with lock-downs through cellphone data
Our government at work - the "Deep State"

(From the article): " The bureaucrats at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention bought data from tracking companies to monitor Americans' locations
in real-time during the reign of COVID, according to contracts obtained by the Epoch Times."

"The CDC paid $420,000 to one company and $208,000 to another, gaining access to location data
from a minimum of 55 million cellphone users, the purchase orders show."

(My Opinion): Now ask yourself, how did the DOJ Feds find all the January 6th trespassers ?
Same procedure, .. same technology ?

I initially resisted getting a mobile phone simply because I didn't feel like being bothered by phone calls everywhere I go. Also some concerns about privacy. Key trope: Great technology (I had a very minor role in developing it) that solves a problem I do not have. That was in the late 1990s.

As time passed, my refusal kept looking more and more like right wing conspiracy mongering. Saying "I don't have a cell phone" got me funny looks.

And here we are.

I had read some years ago that the Government was signing contracts to get data of various kinds from “private sources” to include phone data, credit card data, and geo-tracking data.

When I read that, I immediately interpreted it as an end-around for the laws against using the FBI, DOJ, or intelligence services for those things (for whatever that is worth)

The DOD (not the DOJ) is the agency undergirding all things relating to the COVID-19 Vexxationation (i.e., the Not-A-Vax).

Wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the DOD is the agency behind this Big Brother-style domestic civilian location monitoring program.

The DOJ, headed by the Attorney General, is probably NOT the undergirding agency because of certain restrictions it operates under with respect to domestic spying on civilians/citizens. Plus, IIRC, ordinary citizens can request to review the contents of any open or closed file the FBI or DOJ has on them.

Similarly, the CIA, organized under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), another cabinet-level government official, is probably not behind this. Its focus is overseas. Plus the domestic restrictions that limit what the DOJ/FBI can do also limit the CIA.

As long as the President according to current law sets the right national security or defense condition to expand the DOD’s freedom of action, one can easily imagine that any given official or investigator at the DOD will not consider himself or herself restricted in any way in terms of treating civilians like chattel slaves or livestock.
