Russia, US are in hot conflict phase — senior diplomat

MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Russia and the United States have "already passed through" the Cold War stage in their relations and are now in the phase of a hot conflict, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on the Sputnik radio station on Wednesday.

"I think we have already passed this period (of the Cold War - TASS). Now we are in the phase of a hot conflict with the United States. We are witnessing the direct involvement of that country in a hybrid war with Russia on various fronts," Ryabkov said in response to a question.

He called some forms of this hybrid war, being used by the US, completely unprecedented, which had not existed during the Cold War.

"Unfortunately, there has been much talk about the risk of a nuclear conflict. It's a rather dramatic issue," Ryabkov said. "I must stress that the Russian side is fully committed to the well-known postulates, which have been repeatedly stated recently, including at the highest level, to the effect there can be no winners in a nuclear war and that it must not be unleashed. But the way our American opponents are recklessly, provocatively, and in many respects absolutely carelessly moving up the escalation ladder, the way they are blinded by their absolutely absurd certainty about their ability to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia makes one doubt their mental faculties and their common sense."

Ryabkov emphasized that Russia's opponents were "playing with fire in the truest sense of the word."

"They ought to be aware what any encroachment on our sovereignty, our territorial integrity and our statehood [will entail]. If this trend persists, we will be ready to take all measures and to use all means at our disposal in order to defend ourselves and ensure that our sovereignty be guaranteed. Underestimation of this resolve of ours is perhaps the worst thing that can happen or, conversely, not happen in the minds of our adversaries. We caution them against making fatal mistakes," Ryabkov concluded.

I know, there goes that Putin stooge again, posting non Biden regime approved Russian propaganda. I know, what the Russians are saying has absolutely no bearing on what might happen during our globalist crusade. Shoot, this bluster is as laughable as those baseless Russian threats from January and February 2022.

I suspect that the Neocons know that the Great Ukrainian Offensive will fail, and rather than let that happen, there will be NATO jets supporting the offensive. At that point, it’s likely that European cities start being eliminated.

Which, of course, leads to the question of was Ukraine worth all that...considering that the outcome won’t change regardless.

So his saying this is fine, but if the Ukrainians say it, it’s insanity. Got it.

Russia attacked Ukraine. Sad, but Ukraine isn’t part of NATO and it has a long history of being part of Russia. The action by Russia isn’t the end of the world.

But NATO has basically attacked Russia. That right there may be the end of the world.

We’re not the Good Guys. We’re the problem.

Should we believe Tass as much as we do CNN or any of the other alphabet networks?

Remember all those idiots who said they thought Trump would drag the USA into a nuclear war?

They’re very quiet. I would hope it’s because they’re embarrassed by their stupidity, but the real reason is they are insane, full of hate, stupid, or all three and can’t (or won’t) see what is going on.

Tass is a joke. But so is cbs, pbs, abc, nbc, cnn.

It’s like the difference between Nazi brown shirts and ANTIFA. Both evil socialist morons, but with different masters.

We’re not the good guys.

That’s worth repeating. We haven’t been for decades. Learned that one in the army.

We have passed the point of no return on this. Pushing Ukraine to join NATO puts danger on Russia’s border and southern ports. The West originally said they would not expand east after the soviet union fell but we did and placed short and medium range missiles on Russia’s borders in other countries. Imagine if Russia places missiles in Mexico and Canada pointed at us? How would we react? Our equipment, drones, drone pilots, military advisors, billions of dollars and soon aircraft flows into Ukraine. This has upped the ante and placed us really in direct conflict/war with Russia. Actions from the West are part of what caused this war. And yes us blowing up the gas pipes in the Baltic Sea forcing our “allies” to submit is making NATO question our motives and agenda. This could have been solved in the beginning by diplomacy and wared off an invasion in the first place.

Thank you. One would mention also what is implicit in your post; we, the US, haven't lifted a finger in the interest of peace, at least trying to negotiate a cease-fire.

We are the war mongers in this picture. Now here we are playing Banana Republic at home, prosecuting the leader of the opposition.

This is no longer the country that dad went to war for.

So, if this is true, we’ve been in a hot war with them in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, and a number of smaller African dumpster fires since 1945.

But, Russia is getting their ass kicked this time….so USA bad!

In this matter, I agree.. The stinking, corrupt lawyers of DC are going to get a LOT of people killed.
