President Biden on Thursday took the opportunity to acknowledge his age — which comes up often as one of his weaknesses in office and on the campaign trail — when addressing the Irish parliament.
Biden expressed hope to Irish lawmakers about the future, while lauding the historic partnership between the two countries. He also invoked his late son Beau, who he said should have been standing in his place.
“I’ve never been more optimistic about the future than I am today, and I’m at the end of my career, not the beginning,” Biden said as questions surrounding the timing of his reelection bid swirl.
“The only thing I bring to this career after my aged — as you can see how old I am — is a little bit of wisdom,” the president said in an address to the Irish parliament, the Houses of the Oireachtas.

Just saw on DM that the President of Ireland’s Burmese Mountain dog doesn’t like Biden. When Biden tried to go near him to pet him the dog barked aggressively. Always heard that the spots over the eyes of a Burmese sees into the soul of those near him.

I do not see ANYTHING at all to be optimistic about. Marxist take-over complete everywhere you look, China a serious threat, we can’t recruit people to our military, $33 trillion debt, 7 million invaders from the south, wokeism weakness all around us, US dollar going away as the world’s reserve currency, ESG & CEI scores ruining corporations everywhere, very few young people think America is good, out of control inflation, enormous loss of liberties due to COVID, and, to top it all off, people are sleepwalking through all of these mortal threats.
