America's fastest-growing gun problem (barf alert) (barf alert)
BBC via msn ^ | 14 apr 2023

Ghost guns are coming under fire from gun-control advocates. But why are these weapons so difficult to trace? And can anything be done to keep them from getting into the wrong hands? (snip) Officials told him the 17-year-old suspect used a ghost gun, which is a privately made firearm that is unregistered and untraceable. Nowadays, anyone with access to the internet can buy the parts needed to make a gun without a background check. Tutorials online explain how to assemble the pieces into a fully functioning firearm with just basic tools in less than an hour.

"I was just in shock how easy it was to get it," Mr Yambo told the BBC. "You would think things like that, you can't just order it online as if it was a toy."

Experts are calling ghost guns the fastest-growing gun safety problem in America. The number of ghost guns recovered from crime scenes by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), has risen by more than 1,000% since 2017.

If criminals are in prison, why perform background checks on law abiding citizens?

The second most dangerous thing in the world is a CommucRat with a gun.
The most dangerous thing in the world is a CommucRat politician with your guns.

I say we should ride roughshod over the First Amendment and start locking up and silencing all Liberals who wish to debate the dangers of firearms.

Then, after that goal has been achieved, I think we should debate the dangers of firearms. And I wouldn’t expect anyone at that time to voice support for infringing.

I’d imagine crimes from Democrat transsexuals has also gone up 1,000%. Clearly something must be done to protect innocent citizens from Democrat transsexuals.

Failure to prosecute CRIMINALS, and sentence them accordingly, is "America's fastest-growing gun problem"!

Undermining the nuclear family,
failing to educate children in the fundamentals of life's skill sets,
failure to hold kids accountable for their behavior,
failure to steep children in Faith in God and understand God's laws,

Fix these failures, and watch the "gun problem" go away.

I wonder if these might be the kind of guns that Hunter Biden buys...since he’s a druggie and can’t legally buy a gun.

Well, those who were considered mentally ill in the 1960s are now considered SANE enough to be out of mental hospitals and obtaining guns.

Almost every mass shooter since the hospitals were closed would have been in an insane asylum if the standards for mental illness of the 1950s were still in use.

Not sure about New York to which Mr. Yambo presumably chose to immigrate, but in most states, it is lawful to build a firearm for your own use. What is illegal is selling firearms you have made yourself, without being licensed and putting permanent serial numbers on the firearms that track to their creation and where they went. So the idea that no laws exist is bs. You can bet that the majority of crime guns they find were NOT built by the user in mom;s basement.
They were purchased from gangstas building guns for sale to criminals. The ATF just isn’t doing its job of enforcing the existing laws. Nothing new there.

If “ghost guns” have no identification to help LEO track crime guns, how do they know who is making them? Are they smuggled in from abroad, like the tons of fentanyl? Why don’t we require illegal dope manufacturers and smugglers to identify themselves on their products too, along with a convenient place they can be arrested?

Maybe, if our right to possess and carry firearms wasn’t under constant attack by the left, there wouldn’t be such a demand for guns the government can’t track.
