Do Democrats need a Nixon-like intervention with Biden?
The Hill ^ | 05/08/2023 | DOUGLAS MACKINNON

Posted on 05/08/2023 11:05:18 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

The president was in deep trouble, and everyone seemed to understand it except for himself and a few zealous aides.

As the summer of 1974 wore on, it became obvious to all that the Watergate break-in and the subsequent widespread cover-up that followed had politically and legally ensnared President Richard Nixon in a trap from which there was no viable escape. A growing number of senior Republicans feared Nixon was too isolated from reality and quite possibly misinformed by aides to rationally ascertain his dire predicament. For those reasons, and others, a few decided that an intervention at the White House was needed.

Stupid article, but the Dem power elite isn’t stupid enough to keep Biden as their nominee.

Democrats aren’t going to touch Biden. He’s there to follow their instructions. Conservatives and independents need to start lying when polled about Biden’s performance. Raise Biden’s approval a few points so he’s guaranteed to run against DJT.

Not sure Brandon is up to the rigors of hiding in the basement for the duration of the campaign.

His ego won't allow for it, he'll slip thru the web of staff holding him in the basement, and he'll make some unintelligible remark confirming to the world he's not up to much more than licking his ice cream.

I do believe Biden will step down.
And the media will blame it on the strain caused by anti government white supremacists and global warming deniers.

In 2020 they were able to keep him in the basement, in part explained by not wanting to do big rallies because of covid. That excuse won’t work in 2024.

I’d bet they’re more than stupid enough, they’re absolutely keeping him and flouting their ability to steal elections to boot.

It is a shame that we will have to endure many articles on this topic as though it is a real issue, and then the Democrats will make their choice on how to deal with it.

I think the Democrats have mostly had this worked out before Biden gained office. The leaders of the party see what we see and they are not just sitting around waiting to be surprised by Biden’s mental failings and legal problems.

Behind closed doors, the party leaders have been gaming this and planning options and negotiating with each other for years.

The fake drama has to be reported of course but the pretend public drama will come to really bore most of us, we are interested in their final decision but not a year of breathless articles for mass consumption and market preparation building to the big reveal.

Its a false question

Biden is a vegetable. He is corrupt, perverted and thus totally controlled

An intervention is needed with the various cliques and factions that made him President.

Before Biden was even nominated, I was saying that the Democrats were divided into the insane ideologue wing and the corruptocrat wing. The corruptocrat wing (Biden) took the nomination, but once elected the insane ideologues took over and filled his administration with their fellow-travelers, so they have the best of all possible worlds. There are no ethical Democrats left to pull run the game on Biden that the Republicans ran on Nixon.

Biden would not have the capacity to understand what they are telling him, so it would be up to Dr.Jill.
