SARASOTA, Fla. (FLV) – A reporter asked Gov. Ron DeSantis whether he believes that former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden due to “fraud.”
The reporter noted comments from DeSantis over the weekend in Iowa where he urged Republicans reject a “culture of losing.”
“Do you acknowledge that Trump lost and there wasn’t all this fraud that he talks about?” the reporter asked DeSantis.
“Well, I look at the last however many election cycles: 2018, we lost the House […] We lost the Senate in 2020, Biden becomes president and has done a huge amount of damage,” he said. “Very unpopular in 2022, and we were supposed to have this big red wave.”
“Other than, like, Florida and Iowa, I didn’t see a red wave across this country,” DeSantis continued. “I think the party has developed a culture of losing. I think that there’s not accountability.”
He pointed to his accomplishments and electoral success in Florida in 2022, winning by nearly 20 points.
“You can sit there and talk about cable news, social media, all these other things that people are fixated on. And for me, it’s like, OK, what’s that true north?” he said. “You obviously got to win otherwise you don’t get a ticket to the dance. But once you do that, how are you going to be able to actually bring about big change to make people’s lives better?”

He tells it as he says it. Nothing wrong with that. And I agree that’s the way to handle it....because you can prove nothing.
If Trump hadn’t of stepped in for Ron, he would have lost to the drug addict homo Andrew Gillum the first time around.
Title is misleading
DeSantis knows darn well there was fraud, because he cleaned it up in Miami-Dade, which was one of the worst offenders. But I guess he doesn’t want to tick off all his squishy Bushie backers by saying it out loud anymore.
All the reporters want to do is ask republicans about 2020 and about January 6, then they give constant reports where they say this is all we are talking about.
The reporters should be told to take these questions and shove them.They also should be asked how many times did they question Hillary Clinton and all of the other democrats who constantly questioned their election losses.
I can remember so vividly Hillary Clinton sitting there long after she lost and going on about the fact that trump knew there was something wrong with the election and that he is an illegitimate president.
The reporters and democrats are pure dirt.
Was there fraud in the 2020 election, absolutely yes, did it affect the outcome of the election, most likely.
It’s also true that candidates that made stolen elections part of their campaign, lost in multiple states.
You can’t make changes to election laws until you actually win elections first.
Continuing to harp on stolen elections only gets you one defeat after another, when people can’t afford gasoline, food, shelter and don’t have a job.
Yeah, his comments here and all the rest are worse than the headline.

I don’t believe 81.5 million people fill out ballots for Joe Biden in 2020. Further, the last elections cycles before 2020 demonstrated consistent voting by 129-134 million voters, then suddenly we have 156.5 million votes in 2020. Some states had voter turnout exceeding 80% of Registered. Those are all indicators of election fraud.
Arizona still is under review for 2022, but if signatures are checked against Registered voters, it’s going to be a real problem for the State.
That’s my personal belief, and it’s not going to change. There appears to be a large number of Americans that also are questioning if the elections are legitimate. I recommend the nation secure the elections by doing the voting the way Florida does it now.
A typical politician will never answer a “controversial “ question directly, calculation being it will hurt him. This is why Vivek Ramaswamy is so so so refreshing.

Anyone watching on election night, knowing the count in the wee hours, watching five swing states close polls for the first time in history, then the chart suddenly shooting Biden up over Trump after the counting started up again, knows full well what happened. Only a fool would think this was legit, but, to your point, if nobody is willing to hear the truth and rule accordingly, it is officially unproven.
This alone says it all....the other indicators of fraud (2000 Mules, etc.) are just icing on the crooked cake.
Rob Sanctus has previously said Trump should have accepted defeat in 2020 and moved on. Also blamed him for Jan 6th.

The saying is "one tells it like it is", not "one tells it as one says it".
The evidence for the 2020 Steal is overwhelming. DeSantis and his smallish amount of supporters don't believe there was a steal.

Voter theft is a perfect crime; although you might smell a rat, don’t dare investigate it, or even talk about it. That could get you arrested for phony crimes.
I like DeSantis, but this answer by him only reinforces my opinion that he is the more of the same of what we have in government.
And we won’t survive that. Not as a free country, at least.
I wouldn’t willingly vote for him now. If he gets the nomination, I will vote for him as I voted for McCain, Romney, Bush, and Dole.
