Kohl's has been forced to heavily discount its Pride merchandise after only a week of the monthly celebration, as Target continues to face the fallout from its own decision to promote Pride products.

The Wisconsin- based retailer, which has more than 1,100 stores across 49 states, is now discounting its Pride collection both online and in stores.

A navy blue t-shirt with the rainbow colors of the LGBTQ flag and the word 'pride' is now selling at a 60 percent discount, for $4.80.

I guess featuring merchandise that only appeals to 5% of the population is not a smart business decision.

That’s 5% of the population it appeals to, to satisfy the 0.05% of people who are actually the cross-dressers..

This is all state/urban region dependent. If you into a Kohl’s in some Alabama town...probably less than 40 articles were bought out of the 1,000 they were shipped by Corporate. Same story for most non-urban areas (towns of 100,000 or less). Even in Ohio...I doubt if they sold more than 3-percent of the stuff they were shipped.

Maybe corporate thought this would be some big hit...it wasn’t and by July....there’s probably a pallet from each store going to some depot in Texas, and being shipped out to Honduras or El Salvador...$3 a box just rid themselves of the stuff.

One aspect...I was in several German clothing shops last week. Name-brands. Zero trans clothing anywhere in the stores (in adult clothing or kid clothing). I suspect that German stores told corporate months ago...this stuff wouldn’t sell, so don’t dump it upon us.

I wonder how Cracker Barrel will do, now that they’ve gone all rainbow. Most people who frequent Cracker Barrel don’t go for that crap.

Well, putting the merchandise on sale should really bring in the customers!

If it doesn’t, Kohl’s will just donate it and take the tax deduction.

Kohl’s could just send all this stuff to the incinerator, and be done with it.

A little bit about the background of Kohl’s department stores - originally centered in and about the Milwaukee-Chicago metro areas, the organization was originally a grocery chain, founded by Max Kohl, a Jewish immigrant from Poland. His son, Herbert Kohl, one of the executives of the Kohl’s chain, was elected the Democratic Senator from Wisconsin, from 1989 to 2013, where he has a rather otherwise unremarkable record, mostly merely a rubber-stamp vote for the Democrat caucus, with few if any legislative initiatives of his own. He was a Democrat Socialist before it was cool, but he rarely spoke of it.

NOT surprising that Kohl’s would be already programmed to accept the woke agenda when it came up.

The price cuts were always going to happen. Word is they price cut until they need the shelf space and then donate to charities or something. If you don't like it, and I sure don't, try to find small businesses to shop at.

They are feeling it or you wouldn't hear about it.

If you are helping, well done!

These corporations have built in losses in their share price and they don’t care. Never forget, corporations & Wall street, for decades, were given favorable tax legislation by the Republican party. They were a cornerstone of their base and this Woke crap is the result.

“shipped out to Honduras or El Salvador...”

My thought exactly ...well sort of..

I was thinking more “the dark continent” but where ever that crap ends up it will be colorful..

And interesting to see if people in poverty will even wear it for free ... just because they may live in a mud hut doesn’t
make them pervs ...

Lowering the price constitutes support in the form of a subsidy.

it is called “neo-colonialism”

https://righttolife.org.uk/news/african-activists-call-on-us-govt-to-not-target-continent-with-abortion-funding

Neo-colonialism

Ekeocha has previously accused Western nations of ‘neo-colonialism’ due to their efforts to impose abortion on Africa during the COVID-19 pandemic. While many African nations are in desperate need of ventilators, the UK Government gave an extra £10 million to the UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) targeted at developing nations, including a number of African countries, which includes spending on abortion.

The UN has provided additional funding to a number of African nations this year in the form of ‘Covid Relief Funds’. However, Ekeocha has claimed that this funding is coming “with conditions and clauses that either directly or indirectly open the door to the international abortion organisations, as Western donors are demanding… more access to sexual and reproductive health and rights [abortion]”.

Right To Life UK spokesperson, Catherine Robinson, said: “Obianuju Ekeocha’s accusation of neo-colonialism through the promotion of a foreign abortion ideology onto Africa is true. The testimony which Ekeocha has gathered shows the concerns of people actually living in Africa, rather than of those in the White House”.

“The culture in Africa is far more pro-life than the West, with polls in Kenya showing 85% of people are firmly opposed to abortion. Local campaigners in other African countries have also revealed that the majority of citizens are opposed to abortions within their own countries too”.

Thanks for the post .... great information

I had seen an interview with some “Mali” (sp) about the trans issue ... they were totally repulsed and had a hard time believing anyone would act like that.

I see there is an organization actively trying to defend Africa...
I wish them luck

“If it doesn’t, Kohl’s will just donate it and take the tax deduction.”

I suspect you are correct. Such an action may be part of a plan. Stores purchase the merchandise from an “approved” seller while knowing it will not sell. Then they “donate” the merchandise for a tax break and take the loss. So in reality, everyone in their circle benefits while a certain narrative is being pushed onto the customer.

What marketing genius thought that it would be a good idea to have Kohls sell this crap? Kohls is the definition of anti-Woke shoppers.
