Ten people were wounded in a mass shooting in Denver early Tuesday as thousands packed the streets to celebrate the Nuggets’ first NBA Championship win.
At least three of those hit were in critical condition, cops said, with the suspected shooter among seven others who sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The gunshots rang out at about 12:30 a.m. — about 3 1/2 hours after the game — as celebratory throngs packed downtown.
Cops said the shooting was in an area where a lot of people might have come out of bars after the game.
“As far as what led up to this altercation that resulted in the shots being fired, that’s still under investigation at this time,” police spokesperson Doug Schepman said.

Funny you don’t hear of this at lacrosse championships.
Or rugby.
Or tennis
Or golf
Wonder why?
“Nuggets” I thought their name was changed to the Transgenders.
Odd that to some cultures, celebrating a ball game involves shooting other fans. This is why we can’t have nice things.
Denver. Run by your typical inept collection of Democrats.
We all know where it’s going - despite the superb performance of the Nuggets.
I always make sure I’ve been bathroomed and the car is full of gas when I have to drive through there, lest I have to stop.
Years ago, it really was a wonderful place.
And rest assured, it WILL get worse.
Just like the Palestinians or a Turd World country.
Or swimming.......................😉
Says no one who's been paying the least bit of attention the past few years.
Even the Aztecs and Mayans would find this odd...................
“ Even the Aztecs and Mayans would find this odd.”
Yes, it’s one thing to kill the losing team, but the fans too?
Those Colorado Amish can be a rowdy bunch
US inner cities have a bad rep of violence and property destruction like setting cars on fire etc. in the wake of sports championships. Pretty much whenever a crowd gathers really in a more general sense.
I’ve always said, turn your volume down and try to guess if the Feral Animals are rioting because their team won or lost.
Can’t take them anywhere
Generally speaking, alcohol and firearms are a very bad combination. Someone felt dissed or an old grudge resurfaced. Probably Amish.
13 percenters?
Probably the thin air at altitude makes them delirious.
Only ten?
Rookie numbers.
They’ll improve if they manage to win more championships.

Joining crowds for any reason is always a bad idea.
