OSLO, June 19 (Reuters) - Large and mid-size private firms in Norway must have boards comprising at least 40% women, Norway's government proposed in a bill on Monday, in a further push to break the glass ceiling preventing women from reaching top positions.
The Nordic country was the first in the world to introduce a 40% gender quota on the boards of listed companies, in 2005, kick-starting an international push to force companies to have more women on boards.
In December, Norway's government proposed an extension of its quota law to apply to large private companies.
On Monday, it said the proposal would also affect mid-size private firms - those with minimum 30 employees and yearly revenues above 50 million crowns ($4.7 million) when fully implemented in 2028.

The Norwegians aren't that far gone like Americans. For one thing they have a lot of (genetic, physiological) women running things.
Will a trans count as a woman?
They will just need a supply of “tuck friendly” business suits for the men who will pretend to be women to meet the quota.
With a “tuck friendly” board of directors what could possibly go wrong??

We’re on the verge of WW3 thanks to women in the highest positions in the US and Europe, so I wouldn’t be too optimistic regarding this move by Norway.

Once people would have had the self respect to defend themselves in the face of an implication that they were sexist or stupid in their hiring. What the hell is the matter with people ?
In 2021, the Norwegians grew tired of winning, and voted-out the Conservative Party and voted-in the Labor Party. Perhaps the Norwegians thought that the Center Party, which holds the balance of power, would keep things sane. But, no, the radical left parties have more influence on Labor, than the Center Party. The Norwegians have since wised up, and the Conservatives now have a double digit lead in the polls (compare the blue to the red line, in the link below). At this point, Labor only has a couple more years to do whatever mischief it can.
I modestly propose that Norway change its name to Herway, in order to better communicate to the world how they identify.

All they have to do is have 40 percent of the board members identify as women. Nobody dares to question that.

I suppose a 100% woman board is just AOK and not sexist in the least.
