DeSantis drops dark video on border crisis seeking contrast with Trump: ‘We will build the wall. NO EXCUSES.’

Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis previewed his border policy rollout in a dark video about the crisis, taking aim at rivals in an out of the White House.

The new spot, accentuated with thriller-movie music, appears to double as a sharp rebuke of President Biden’s immigration record and an implicit dig at former President Donald Trump’s failure to make good on his promises.

DeSantis will formally unveil his border security policy on Monday in Eagle Pass, Texas.

“We will secure the border. We will stop the cartels. We will build the wall. We will stop the invasion. NO EXCUSES. @RonDeSantis will get it done,” the DeSantis War Room tweeted alongside the video. ***

What has been happening under President Biden’s watch is that so many immigrants think it will be easier to enter the United States,” another voice says.

Trump went unmentioned by name in the ad. ***

Leadership is not about entertainment,” DeSantis told New Hampshire voters several weeks ago, the Boston Herald reported. “Leadership is about producing results for the people you represent.”

“We will finally after years and years of discussions and Republicans complaining about it, we will finally be the administration to bring this border issue to a conclusion. We are going to shut the border down, we are going to build the border wall.” ***

The Trump administration constructed 453 miles of border wall over four years, and a vast majority of the new barriers reinforced or replaced existing structures. Of that, about 47 miles were new primary barriers.

The United States’ southwestern border with Mexico is over 1,900 miles, and during his campaign, Mr. Trump had vowed to build a wall across the entire border and make Mexico pay for it. Mexico did not pay for the barriers that had been constructed.

More lies. Much of the border has natural barriers where walls were never planned nor needed.

Meatball is a transparent liar- he and his Uniparty backers won’t do shit on the border save managing the invasion slightly more efficiently. Fortunately, he will never be President nor nominee- frankly, I would advocate driving any elected who endorses him out of the party writ large- alone with the rest of the neocon filth they can go back to their true home in a globalist Democratic communist party.

Trump had to work around obstructionist Paul Ryan and get creative for the funding. He also had to deal with the Courts. He never backed down, andnever walked it back. Mexico paid for part of the broader efforts at border enforcement including tariffs and Stay in Mexico policy, as well as Mexico stepping up encorcement at the Guatemalan border.

Yup. Furthermore, for anyone paying attention at the time, Trump was begging Nancy for money to finish the Wall. And, there are $millions of raw materials lined up along the line, ready for further construction. Biden put an instant stop on the project the day he entered office.

a vast majority of the new barriers reinforced or replaced existing structures.

Yeah, they were chained link fences that were easily breached with no effort whatsoever.

What an appropriate moniker you have given yourself. Gag me with your humor.

Also. it was Congress who refused to appropriated the money, even though both House of Congress had Republican majorities. We have already seen that DeSantis is controlled like a puppet by the Deep State, when he said Ukraine wasn't important, and then within 24 hours changed his tune when they scolded him for his statement.

It's amazing how so man people on this board knows little about the corruption that exists within both political parties, or even how thinks get done. We do not elect a dictator that has full control over getting things accomplished. But even with his own party obstructing him, he still managed to accomplish quite a lot.

I suggest you read the Constitution. It is not a very big document.

What Desimps don’t understand is that Trump’s support is solid and Desantis as reached his peak about 20%, no amount of money or talk is going to change that...the rest of the GOP primary electoral simply will not vote for him...his only hope is for them to jail Trump some how and the RNC change nomination rules.

“Trump had to work around obstructionist Paul Ryan and get creative for the funding. He also had to deal with the Courts.”

It’s not like Congress or the courts have gotten any friendlier. I don’t see how anyone is going to build the wall as long as that’s the case.

Stop with the lies. Trump made tremendous process on the wall despite opposition by both parties. He was only a few miles short of the planned border.
Illegal immigration was at the lowest numbers in decades. Mexico paid by keeping people in Mexico and through providing soldiers to guard the border from Mexico’s side. That is money that Mexico spent through an agreement forged by Trump. They saved face but they paid.
It is disingenuous to spout the lies you rely on to fool people who did not follow the process carefully at the time. So much is scrubbed from the internet that without knowledge of the process it is very difficult to get past the fake news put out by the left.

And did so with NO help from Congress.

Please, DeSoros, tell me how you will work with an oppositional legislature, since you’ve never had one?

BS. Trump built as much of the wall as was humanly possible with an oppositional congress. And we don’t know how much Me-hee-co paid for in tariffs and other charges.

Stop believing the DeSoros spooge.

Correct. DeSoros peaked at 20% and in most polls is now at 17% or under. IF he hangs in the race, as his globalist masters probably will require, I think he’ll get Cruz-level #s of delegates, i.e., maybe at most 400.
