Christie spars with Piers Morgan over stance on transgender youth
The Hill ^ | 07/12/2023 | DOMINICK MASTRANGELO

Fox News host Piers Morgan pressed GOP presidential primary candidate Chris Christie about his stance on issues relating to transgender youth.

Calling the former New Jersey governor the most “progressive” of the GOP presidential primary candidates on transgender issues, Morgan asked Christie if the government should intervene when parents wish to provide gender-affirming health care to children.

“We’re having a big argument in our country too about parents being excluded from educational choices for their kids, and we as a Republican Party and conservatives say parents should decide their children’s educational choices,” Christie responded.

Notice they posture the debate as defending parents rights and beliefs, instead of blowing up on the government for getting involved in matters that are clearly inappropriate and forbidden from a constitutional rights perspective.

Granting you permissions to matters where your God given rights are involved is completely irrelevant. Such rights are not the governments to dispense or recind.

Christie et, al, begin their comments from a defeatist surrender position, as if begging.

Christy was the first governor in the nation outlawing repairative therapy, so we already know how he feels about parental rights.

There are stories from the third world about parents deliberately crippling their children in order to make them better beggars. Is forbidding such a practice an infringement on ‘parental rights’? How does ‘gender-affirming care’ (really gender-denying care) differ?

There is no such thing as a transgender. Not a real one, anyway. This decade will go down in history for trans nonsense, among other things.

Gluttony is a sin that leads to many others. Obese people advertise their poor choices. They cannot not be expected to make good decisions for others when they can’t even make a good decision about their own bodies. It’s that basic. Lard asses have no business in our representative form of government.

Aside from the spin of some of the posters here, does your party really want to jump in between a parent, their kids, and their doctors?

I thought the Republican Party was about not getting into people’s business.

This is not “pushing transgenderism.” This is letting parents and doctors decide what is right for our children.

The horse that a lot of people are on is so high, they are going to knock their heads on the barn door. And…lose the election for us. All the Dems need to do is haul out that one kid that needs hormone treatments and explain that the GOP would relegate that kid to a horrible life.

Never forget that this FAT PIG helped turn NJ forever BLUE.

IF he ran for ANY office in NJ he would struggle to hit 35% support.

Christie ran on a platform commiting to making sure the mental health professions, clergy, etc would not be barred from helping people with unwanted same sex attraction. Many people believed him, including me. Many people voted for him, based upon this pledge. He turned around and did the opposite, leaving the people of New Jersey with nowhere to turn for profressional help in taming their demons and becoming more mentally healthy. That’s fatso. I thought he was finished, but the media are putting him again in the broadest of spotlights and quoting him, as if he is a guru.
