Native Sons, a group from Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, is asking that gang members pledge to cease fire from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily so no one lives in fear of being shot while going about their day-to-day activities.
The push for the cease-fire is being called “The People’s Ordinance,” CWBChicago reported.
Native Sons’ co-founder, Tatiana Atkins, said:

Evidently “Native Sons” are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
They should have said “Only shoot people between 9PM and 9AM” ... that way the absurdity wont be lost on the stupid.

They really need to put up more ‘Gun Free’ zone signs. That always work — until they don’t.
Just another leftist panacea, instead of addressing the ‘real’ problem.
Every gang answers up to somebody else. At the top is the devil. (I’m not speaking metaphorically here.)
This is their problem.
Because, mostly peaceful shootings.
Somehow the image of gangbangers standing around looking at the watches they stole seems far fetched.

This may be backwards but there used to be a law that Vermonters were not allowed to shoot someone from New Hampshire on Sunday.
Say “please”....
They should make that the law in Chicago.
Don’t kill anybody from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Anybody that violates that law will not be permitted to kill at all for a week. That should be punishment enough. Guns will be taken way for that whole week and then given back, but only with good behavior for that week.
Seems like “Native Sons” has some government experience in their policy outreach efforts. That is truly a Democrat government solution. Probably involves grant money too, complete with wordsmithing slogans like, “You’re Fine, til Nine” press kits.
That is basically what they do with the cartel in Mexico. They also give them boundaries, no shooting in the shopping and restaurant districts.
To be effective the free wristwatch program needs funding.
Like duck hunters at dawn. Everyone looking at their watches, as the ducks start to move...then three minutes before legal light, it’s more than someone can take, and “boom!”....and then everyone starts shooting.
Because shooters are basically good people.
