The fire is estimated to be 3,000 acres at this time. One person is confirmed dead.

Who the hell keeps starting these wildfires, and why is nobody being caught or convicted?
Thanks, I know several people in the area.
And not far from the western edge of Fairchild Air Force Base (KC-135 country).
Many of them are probably being started by professional trained arsonist’s who are using very high tech methods. My guess is that they are out of the area when the fire actually starts.
Well, Spokane area just had string of 100°F days and at times, moderate wind.
It’s probably friends of Greta Thunberg... The media harps ‘global warming’ when ever one of these ‘wild’ fires breaks out... Lighting does cause the odd fire every now and then... It doesn’t cause this many though.
Well that explanation works well if you want to start fires everywhere and then blame them on global warming. On top of that you get to actually create a desert climate by burning all the forests down.
There are just to many fires. Don’t be gullible.
This hits me pretty hard, as I have family in and around Medical Lake.
From the NYTimes an hour ago:
“Joe Smillie, a spokesman for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, said by telephone on Friday that the wildfire had destroyed several structures in Medical Lake. It remained zero percent contained on Friday night.
Mr. Smillie said the fire, pushed by wind gusts of about 35 miles per hour, was also being fueled by dry grass and wheat fields.
“All Medical Lake citizens, get out now,” Mayor Terri Cooper of Medical Lake said on Facebook. The city later warned that local water was not safe to drink unless it was boiled.
The fire was spreading farther south closer to Cheney, a city of about 13,000 that also houses Eastern Washington University. Mr. Smillie said firefighters were trying to reroute the fire or stop its spread.”
