Why NATO Has Become an Enemy of Peace and Security Around the World
International Man ^ | August 19, 2023 | David Stockman

America’s Brobdingnagian $1.3 trillion national security budget thrives on manufactured threats and falsely demonized foes. or crying out loud. Since the Munich Security Conference in 2007, the man (Putin) has said over and over, and then over again, that Ukraine’s ascension to NATO is an absolute red line. And anyone with their head screwed on right would have no trouble accepting that declaration by answering one simple question.

To wit, how would Washington react if Russia put missiles and nukes in Mexico, or Cuba, or Nicaragua, or Granada or Venezuela or even Tierra Del Fuego?

The bloated now 31-nation NATO of today has actually become an enemy of peace and security. That’s because it exists mainly as a marketing forum for western arms manufacturers and a think tank for generating phony threats and scary stories designed to keep military budgets amply stocked with fiscal wherewithal and vastly over-sized military establishments well provisioned with missions, mandates, war games and busy work.

The cold war style mega-threat ended with the Soviet Union. Today, Russia’s $1.8 trillion GDP is a veritable joke when arrayed against the $45 trillion of GDP resources embedded in the US and the balance of NATO; and its $85 billion defense budget amounts to not even 7% of the $1.25 trillion combined NATO defense budgets.

Our garbage establishment has hollowed out our industries so that we are no longer a super power. I think the rest of the world has caught on that our idiotic leadership, in an attempt to diminish the American citizen, has diminished America itself. I think this ends with a vicious series of Civil Wars in the West, the dismantling of NATO , and quite a few of the "important people" getting hung by their own citizens.

Stockman seems to have missed the point that Russia guaranteed Ukraine's security in return for Ukraine relinquishing their nukes. Then Putin instigated and supported separatist movements in east Ukraine, which in turn got Ukrainians looking to the EU and NATO for help. Current Russian demands are to the effect that NATO must remove all forces and terminate new NATO members so as to respect the region of the former Warsaw Pact as a permanent Russian sphere of influence. Those demands and the Russian attack on Ukraine is what has reinvigorated NATO, not Western arms marketing.

Actually, there are a few more details that matter. Below are a few examples.

1. Russia went to the UN to request an investigation to the 50 UNited States bio labs (Including Biden's Metabiota) located in the Ukraine. Russia says they are bio warfare labs and wanted the investigation to prove it. Russia also says those American bio labs are tailoring bio warfare agents, releasing pathogens and conducting unauthorized tests on soldiers.

The UN, the US, Germany et. al. refused any investigation and vented their contempt on what they said was Russia's 'baseless' charges (sound familiar?)

So when Russia began the conflict, some of the initial strikes were on bio warfare lab locations identified as 'military facilities'.

Given that the UN refused to investigate, a move that could have proven there were no bio warfare labs present had the UN wanted to do so, Russia had another reason to invade.

I went looking for Russia's UN petition. The only place I could find any details about Putins UN petition was on the Russia.gov website. I posted a thread for that information here:

Irina Yarovaya presented the outcome report of the Parliamentary Commission on Investigation into Activities of the US Biological Laboratories in Ukraine PLUS MY COMMENTS

Well, as Russia believed the bio warfare labs were targeting Russians with bio agents and the international community refused to listen, I can see why he took action. I would not want China cooking toxic pathogens on our border and testing it on people.

2. Next - the western side of Ukraine was shelling the eastern side of Ukraine, despite making an agreement to stop doing so. The reason is ethnic cleansing - Western Ukraine is Ukrainian dominant and Eastern Ukraine has/had a significant population of ethnically Russian citizens. Agreements with Russia to stop the West from killing those of Russian ethnicity living in the east failed with the West shelling ethnically Russian civilians in the East, so there was another provocation.

3. Water to the Crimea was another key driver - the Ukraine cut off water to the Crimea. Starving the region of water was never going to be accepted by Putin, and the Ukrainians knew that. Wars have been fought over water before.

Ironically, it's NATO that is trying to expand its control world-wide. They want regime change in Russia and this proxy war was supposed to do the job.

So tue world was awesome when the soviets had all these satellite countries as human shields around them, many of them not willing participants in the matter.

If it was so awesome that must have been why the barb wire on all the fences surrounding them faced inward.

Now that more of them are free from sovietski oligarchy that replaced “official” socialists, and joined nato, somehow the world is worse off.

Both systems are far from perfect. One however you could join or leave voluntarily.

The purpose for founding NATO after WWII was necessary for peace. But in recent years it has expanded it’s agenda to include enlarging by taking in more countries, being involved in hostilities in Afghanistan, flexing its muscles in Africa, and has become more like a warlord. The NATO founders surely are rolling over in their graves.

Russia can, however, still actually build things.

That is unfortunately true. It’s just as prophesied by Jesus (basically).

Tagline. (words of Jesus Himself)

Beware when there IS "Peace and Security" (how, exactly, it will all play out remains to be seen)

What's also amazing is how they're using language from the Bible, and it literally matches, TO THE WORD, that which was prophesied nearly 2,000 years ago.

"Peace and Security" in regards to dividing Israel and creating a Palestinian state. I don't know that the 60th-year anniversary of the U.N. means anything specific but if you haven't seen the video before, you might find it interesting in light of the RSV verse above.

***** Peace and Security Video ***** (click here - opens in a new window) -

7 years of 'Peace and Security' - "Peace and Safety" KJV - "Peace and Security" RSV

Ah, "peace and security" - the catchphrase of the Last Days. Beware when people say there IS "Peace and Security".

1 Thessalonians 5:3 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

3 When people say, “There is Peace and Security,”

then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape.

I’m not sure this is correct. Ukraine never “had” any nuclear arms. They were Soviet arms that happened to be situated in Ukraine. Ukraine really didn’t have any say in the matter.

If Florida seceded from the U.S., it would be ludicrous to think they’d have any standing to dictate the terms of what the U.S. Navy must do with the assets it has at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station.

NATO did not force nations to join it. Nations wanted to join NATO because they want to be safe from Russia. Russia’s former subjects did not suddenly forget the last hundred years or ignore what Russia was doing in Chechnya, Georgia, and now Ukraine. Getting in way of Russia’s ambitions is not threatening Russia in anyway. Unless Russia’s ambitions are the threat to her neighbors first.

Do you mean if the United States ceased to exist why would Florida not own the stuff in its own state?

Yes, and Russia still supports Cuba as an ally right on our doorstep.

Venezuela is an ally of Russia and China.

Nicaragua is an ally of Russia and China.

You mean where Russia tried to pull a coup, but failed?

It is foolish to consider the US doing a coup, without considering what Russia was trying to do.

The Soviet Union didn’t just vanish without a trace. The process of dissolution was complex and involved agreements among internal and international organizations. Russia was recognized under international law as the legal “successor” to the Soviet Union. That’s why Russia assumed the former Soviet seat as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. It’s also why Russia took on the responsibility for the Soviet Union’s debt obligations to other countries.
