RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel ‘very pleased’ with Republican debate abortion talk
NY Post ^ | 08/24/2023 | Ryan King

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said Thursday that she was glad the party’s top candidates grappled with each other over abortion during Wednesday’s first primary debate.

“I was very pleased to see them talk about abortion,” McDaniel told Fox News. “If our candidates aren’t able to fend a response and put out a response, we’re not going to win. They’re going to do it again in 2024. And I thought all of them did a really good job on that.”

McDaniel underscored that Democrats successfully weaponized the abortion issue during the 2022 midterm elections following the Supreme Court’s overturn of Roe v. Wade.

The debate exposed fault lines among the candidates over the issue, particularly on the question of a nationwide abortion ban.

Republicans talk and talk and talk.
5 of the 7 Roe vs Wade justices were appointed by Republicans.

Reagan gave us pro abortion Kennedy and O Connor
Bush 1 gave us solid liberal Souter
Bush 2 gave us Roberts.

Not a mistake like they claimed. They all knew who they appointed.

3 or 3 Trump’s nominations were solid.

Because it’s a great way to energize both republican and democrat bases, lose elections, and fundraise for the RNC by promising to do something at the federal level on abortion to attract. It’s a win-win for both the DNC and the RNC.

Here’s the answer to the abortion question they’ll never say.

“The issue of abortion is resolved on the Federal level. The people through their legislatures, or on the ballot, acting as a legislature, will decide the issue at the state level.”

But Mitt Romney’s niece, just loves people like Tim McRomBush and Mike McRomBush talking about some national abortion ban. Because they like the issued destroying conservative candidates, so their “fiscally conservative but socially liberal” moderates can regain ground.

I think I heard FOX is claiming 50 million watched the debate. If that's true, TV shows are worse than I thought.

Didn't all these candidates support her by showing up to the debate?

Abortion by federal candidates? What do they have to say that means anything? After three generations of having a medical procedure being within the scope of federal overseeing when it falls under state’s rights and they’re making a big deal out of it at a national debate is absolutely stupid. Abortion is no longer their business. That’s what the win was when it was taken away from them...completely.

Why isn’t she lauding a discussion on the economy, the pumping of trillions into the Ukraine, the sanctity of our southern border, the nationwide violence caused in many ways by the defunding of law enforcement, the drug problems, the energy fallacy, the supply line problems and many more problems that are a real problem right now. Abortion decision has been replaced to the states where it should be. And why not ideas on how the absolute failures of the liberal party that can be rapidly repaired? Do something productive, not rehash previously decided points they have nothing to do with. That’s not laudable.
