Tennessee Democratic state Reps. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, who were briefly expelled from the state legislature earlier this year after joining in protests against gun violence, were named to the “Harper’s Bazaar” Icons list for 2023 on Thursday.
The magazine announced its list of 14 people “who are helping to shift narratives, open doors, and reshape the culture,” adding the group “made their marks — and some of them might be making history."
“I don’t look like the other elected officials in the building,” Jones told the magazine. “In fact, I was told that I should cut my hair and assimilate. But I know that we have to represent a new model of what legislators can look like.”

Judging by their criteria, I assume Donald Trump is #1 on their list.

Step *and* Fetchit are a pair of icons of some sort.
Isn't Harper's Bazaar a fashion magazine?

Why do Negro folks complain to White people about violence in their neighborhoods? There are plenty of laws on the books which if they were obeyed would spell an end to gun play in their neighborhoods.
Talk to your kind and ask them to obey the law.

Whatever happened to the manifesto?

More affirmative action for the race of professional victims. The people at Harper’s Bazaar need to work a liquor store on Chelsea Ave or Orange Mound in Memphis for a correct interpretation of the people they are encouraging.

"Whatever happened to the manifesto?" It didn't fit the "narrative".
Note to all future manifesto writers: post your manifesto to multiple public blogs and to send to multiple newspapers and broadcasters. Don't rely on the government to do your job!

Back in college I placed a written request that the library carry Harper’s. About a month later, I followed up the request by asking the librarian if she intended to carry Harper’s. To which she responded, “no, we already have too many fashion magazines.”
Ugh
