Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Sunday granted an “absolute pardon” to the father who was arrested at a school board meeting after the superintendent lied about his daughter’s rape by a skirt-wearing boy.
The pardon says that in June 2021, Scott Smith “exercised his constitutional right to attend a public meeting of the Loudoun County School Board to observe the proceedings, during which time a community member threatened to spread false and malicious information about Mr. Smith’s business with the intent to damage his reputation.”
“After an ensuing verbal confrontation, Scott Thomas Smith was charged with Obstruction of Justice and Disorderly Conduct,” and Smith was quickly convicted, even though an appeals court later disqualified the prosecutor due to concerns about “the integrity of the prosecution,” the pardon continues.

That pardon had best included total expungement or Mr Smith is still branded.
Not good enough. The Governor needs to make an example of the arresting officers, the false imprisonment caused by the School Board, etc. Make them suffer extreme financial hardships as a penalty for their power grab.
Is the prosecutor still employed? Are the fascist pigs that arrested the father still employed. Have all the gender denying, grooming teachers and school administrators in Loudoun County schools been sent to prison for child abuse?

Agree. I also haven’t heard anything about him insulting MAGA voters, like the rest of the GOP wanna-be’s (other than Vivek). I’ll be watching for that as Youngkin raises his profile - if he doesn’t do that, he may be viable as a backup to Trump.

That is exactly his plan. I have inside information. He honestly thinks he will be the next POTUS. He’s my governor and I don’t know if I like him yet. He gives me deep state RINO vibes.
He needs to be compensated for the distress the whole deal and false arrest caused him and his daughter
In politics and government they all want to get along.
But for election campaign purposes the false gaslit drama of differences is created between Republicans and Democrats.
Business runs our political system both parties and economics prosperity you might say dictates no real conflict in our society just the rhetorical illusion of differences we are subjected to in the political debate.

Sorry pal. That’s above my pay grade. Give him statutory authority-like he’ll do something with it? Jury pools would be like the OJ trial. Still it would be proper. We have no fight and In don’t se it in Youngkin.
