Russia general says Ukraine just ‘stepping stone’ to invade Europe: ‘Won’t stop'
The Hindustan Times ^ | September 10, 2023 | Mallika Soni

A key Russian general who Russian president Vladimir Putin promoted this week said that Moscow's invasion of Ukraine is a mere "stepping stone" to further conflict with Europe. Vladimir Putin promoted lieutenant general Andrey Mordvichev to the rank of colonel-general after he had already been serving in the role of commanding the central military district and Russian central grouping of forces in Ukraine.

In an interview with Moscow's state-run Russia-1, Andrey Mordvichev said that he believes Vladimir Putin's war will last quite a long time and expand in the future.

"I think there's still plenty of time to spend. It is pointless to talk about a specified period. If we are talking about Eastern Europe, which we will have to, of course then it will be longer," the general said.

"Ukraine is only a stepping stone?" the interviewer then asked.

"Yes, absolutely. It is only the beginning," he responded adding that the war “will not stop here.”

The Hindustan Times is hardly a pro-Western news outlet.

Here's the VIDEO of the interview:

It’s obvious even if he hadn’t said it.

They say it on RT.

Last week a mainstay on RT said “the *world* should fear them”

Is this because NATO will never stop prosecuting this war against Russia and negotiate a peace, and that’s why this war will expand into a world war like everybody has been saying?

No, it's because Putin wants to rebuild the Russian Empire, with himself as its new Tsar.

if Russia really wants peace, all it has to do is go back to its own territory

is Russia doing that?

of course not - therefore, Russia doesn’t want peace, only more war

Ike told us to leave NATO in 10 years. We have kept troops there 9/2/45. Korea is no better. America FIRST.

That's what I've been trying to get across to the Putin Proppers for months now. That this isn't about Putin, or Zelensky, or who is more corrupt.

Just after the WW2 Tehran Conference, Stalin said to a journalist, (roughly translated):

"It's high time the Slavic race was in charge of Europe.".

Never forget that the modern-day Muskovite form of government is in part derived from the Mongol hordes who over-ran the region in the 13th century. They never really left..

Are we to wait until the Muskovite horde is at the Rhine? Occupying Istanbul? Or Oslo? Are you so poorly read that you don't know how and why the Cold War began? Why NATO had to be formed in the first place?.

Those who don't study history are doomed to repeat it..

Those who DO study history are doomed to stand by watching helplessly while everyone else repeats it. *sigh*

Russia's claim on Crimea and Eastern Ukraine predate America's claim on Texas.

Invade East Europe?
HAHAHAHAHA
The invasion of Ukraine has already become a stalemate. I don’t think they will now be able to invade even West Ukraine, let alone East Europe.

Meanwhile Jinping is salivating over all the resource-rich land Russia has and just waiting for Russia to weaken and become beholden to China. And then one fine day, a few years in the future, he will invade up Russia’s rear, in Siberia. Putin will be helpless.

so does Germany’s claim on Silesia and Prussia

are those lands being returned to Germany?

nope - so History isn’t always the deciding factor
