WASHINGTON — President Biden endorsed a United Auto Workers strike at manufacturing plants of the “big three” domestic car makers as the union demands a 40% pay raise and a 32-hour work week.

“Over the last two — past decade, auto companies have seen record profits, including the last few years, because of the extraordinary skill and sacrifices of the UAW workers,” Biden, 80, said at the White House Friday, hours after the strike began.

Like we do for every other crooked, asinine scheme Robinette and his gang support.

It’s actually not just a 40% wage increase.

When the contract is signed for only 32 hours of work, they’ll be required to one additional day of work, which will at overtime wages.

IIRC, the auto makers were saying they cannot afford to give the raises and benefit increases requested by the union AND go down the EV path.

So, this gives Joe the perfect opportunity to offer up some more money to the cause.

Remember the “Look for the Union Label” ads several decades ago? They got their huge union salaries for a time then the US textile industry couldn’t support the cost. Now its rare to find a piece of US made piece of clothing. The same may go for union built vehicles.

“… sacrifices of UAW workers …”
What sacrifices? Did they work without pay? The only sacrifice I can think of is paying their union dues which then go directly into Democrat campaign funds.

We will pay for this, all car prices will rise even more. Traitor Joe gets to pander to all the unions by the time it causes the prices to go up no one will blame Traitor Joe.

Making automobiles unaffordable for the middle class while appearing to support union workers, brought to you by Biden the autocrat.

If the price of cars is too high, they won’t be sold and the auto companies will have to let go all of those union workers with their 40% higher wage.

“Traitor Joe gets to pander to all the unions”

Hadn’t thought of that. Maybe this is all about getting votes.

Worker complain about executive pay. That’s valid to a point but their company’s financial state is more important.

Wonder if their union is explaining how their demands will not eventually cost them their jobs.

The rank and file need to decertify their union before it’s too late.

Unions are a great example of communist greed. Capitalists don’t have anything on these gorillas.

“What sacrifices?”

LOL - the first thought that comes to mind whenever someone mentions auto workers is “selfless”.
