New York is in a state of decline — with a worsening quality of life tied to sky high costs of housing, rampant crime and an unrelenting migrant crisis, according to a new poll.

Fifty-seven percent of 804 registered voters who participated in the Siena College Poll released Tuesday said the quality of life in the Empire State is getting worse, while 27% said it was the same and just 14% said it was better.

“A huge majority of Republicans, a large majority of independents and a plurality of Democrats all say the quality of life in New York is getting worse,” said Siena College poster Steven Greenberg said.

“In fact, a majority of virtually every demographic group – pluralities of Democrats, liberals and New York City voters – say things are getting worse.

What is happening in NYC will happen to the rest of the US until it will become unfit for human habitation and Biden has achieved his goal for the country’s destruction.

they have a tiny fraction of the illegals that texas and arizona have- and they can’t handle that small fraction? What the heck do they think Texas and Arizona have to endure? They are gettign only a tiny taste of what those two states have had to endure- and NY falls all to pieces!

BUILD THE WALL NY down on the border and stop yer whining-

That town completed their withdrawal from civilization before the migrant crisis. I'd say it was in the Summer of Floyd in 2020, not unlike many other big cities. For NYC 2020 was the final mop up of the triumph of chaos. Anything that happens afterward is just a detail.

NYC's withdrawal from civilization was already well under weigh when I left in the early 1980s. I liked Rudy Giuliani, but he was at best only a speed bump on the road to chaos.

New York Harbor is a perfect natural location for a seaport, and it was used that way in the past. Perhaps some future civilization will build a seaport there.

Fear not, the problems will be thoroughly ignored and hand waved away, just send more billions to Ukraine and keep those borders open.
Wincing Rodent Hochul and terminally confused Adams won’t truly understand what the problem is until it’s made fully their problems.
Send the invaders to their houses and let them deal with it directly.

Yeah. They had their chance in the last election and all those that went before it. And you can be sure they will elect democrats in the next election.

Rush said (before moving his show) when New Yorkers say they are there for the theater, the concerts, the restaurants, the culture, the museums and the rest, they are lying. They put up with the gridlocked traffic, the exhaust, the muggings, the derelicts and mentally ill people approaching them as they walk and the outrageously overpriced housing and food costs for one reason: they are only there for the money.

I could not believe the number of rats. Literally everywhere, nearly all the time. Better in the day, but at night, it was absolutely disgusting.

Rats keep voting for things that destroy the city.

I grew up in New York City, and left in 1980. Best move I ever made. I have lots of relatives there, and believe most of them will vote Democrat, regardless. They will admit that things are bad, but “Republicans will only make things worse”. Keep telling yourself that.

Things are demonstrably worse than forty years ago. I feel shutter at the thought of going back to visit.

"I could not believe the number of rats."

They hired a rat czar named Kathleen Corradi in April. I wonder what she's been doing.
