Republican presidential candidate and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Sunday he has no interest in running against Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) following the New Jersey lawmaker’s indictment on federal bribery charges.
When asked on NBC’s “Meet The Press” if he would run against Menendez, who is up for reelection in 2024, Christie said: “No, I have no interest in being in the United States Senate.”

Christy doesn't run period. Maybe accept running into a McDonald's before it closes..

Just like Chrissie Sununu, "Fats" Christie is NOT a team player.
We must remember that Chrissie Sununu handed the Democrats a Senate seat in New Hampshire in 2022.
Too busy attacking MAGA to get a Senate seat for our team.

Probably because he takes 2 seats. Only 1 is available.

Christ knows he has zero hope in running as a Republican. I have no idea why he clings to the -R designation. Christy should run as a Democrat. It’s the only chance he has. There has to be enough Democrat faggots in NJ what will vote for one of their own and push Christy over the top.

“That is because he would lose.”
So correct. And that would harm his effectiveness on TV appearances bashing Trump.

As gov. he called for a special election 2 weeks before the November one so that he wouldn’t have to go against Spartacus. The seat could have been GOP for a year+.
Happens too often in the GOP. Republican governors thinking the senate is not worthy of them.

I would say, Christie remains, at least officially, a Republican for many of the same reasons John McCain never switched parties, even though he was absolutely for the Uni-Party. By being “a Republican”, Christie gets a lot more media interest, presenting himself as a truth-sayer to the ‘real’ Grand Old Party, vs a turn coat and back stabber.

He knows he would lose in a humiliating fashion.
