A conservative (not a Republican) take on Kevin McCarthy’s ouster
American Thinker ^ | 10/04/2023 | Andrea Widburg

Posted on 10/04/2023 8:22:25 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Republicans are in mourning: Matt Gaetz, the irresponsible renegade with the pointed chin, has ousted Kevin McCarthy, and America is racing to Armageddon. There’s a possibility the Republicans are right. After all, Democrats helped push McCarthy out, which can mean only nefarious things. However, there’s also a chance that they’re very, very wrong and that this is the kick in the pants Republicans need to understand that they had better start choosing America over “collegiality,” which means globalism.

To appreciate what I’m going to write, you must know where I’m coming from: I am a registered Republican because we have a two-party system, and the Republican party is not the Democrat party. That doesn’t mean I like Republicans.

I once was a registered Democrat. I believed in the party's goals: a thriving economy benefitting all, racial harmony, equal rights for women, and support for Israel, the only liberal democracy in the Middle East. I abandoned the Democrat party when I realized that its true goals (once unspoken, now in the open) were to break the economy, balkanize us along racial lines, destroy men, destroy Israel and, as an added bonus, destroy families and children. I deeply dislike Democrats.

The Republican party was the only real option, but it’s long been undeserving of respect. Republican party practices never achieve the goals it currently espouses, such as a thriving economy benefitting all, racial harmony, strong families, children safe from predators, a real border, and an end to foreign wars that don’t benefit America in the short or long term. Instead—and you’ve probably noticed this—when push comes to shove, just enough Republicans invariably collapse in spineless heaps to hand victory to the Democrats (and to China, naturally).

Let me explain why the ouster of Speaker McCarthy is a good thing.

When Democrats are in power, they ruthlessly and aggressively pursue the agenda their voters elected them on, with a united front.

When Republicans are in power, they immediately abandon the campaign promises they made, disregard the desires of their voters, and prioritize "comity" and "bipartisanship" while seeking to never anger the mainstream press that despises them anyway.

As a result, when Democrats are in power we drive at warp speed into a totalitarian nightmare, whereas when Republicans are in power we drive at a slightly slower speed into a totalitarian nightmare.

With the exception of gun laws at the state level and in SCOTUS, we NEVER roll back the horrific policies Democrats have been foisting on us for 85 years. This MUST change.

Exiling McCarthy means we have said "ENOUGH!" We need a Republican majority that represents its voters just like the Democrats do.

I don't care if exiling McCarthy "cripples the institution." It's an institution that is corrupt to its very core, and deserving of being crippled.

Excellent work, Matt Gaetz! — Cynical Publius (@CynicalPublius) October 3, 2023

The fact that McCarthy won’t run for Speaker again shows me he never intended to fulfill his promises

He was there to work for Pelosi, hide the J6 tapes, not impeach Biden, not subpoena Hunter, keep the money flowing to Ukraine, and allow the Deep State to take down Trump

Gaetz called his bluff and exposed his true intentions — DC_Draino (@DC_Draino) October 4, 2023

Interim Speaker Patrick McHenry agressively slams the gavel as he and 200+ other Republicans fume over Kevin McCarthy's ousting.

Where was this anger as millions of migrants poured over the southern border?

Where was this anger as US debt rises over $33T?

Where was this anger as the "justice" system tries to take out Biden's top opponent in 2024? They sit back and do nothing as our country burns but fume when their buddy loses his Speaker role. pic.twitter.com/ewW2nvroZN — Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) October 3, 2023

This is a simple example of performance standards. McCarthy failed. In the private sector, a least in non-woke businesses, McCarthy would be fired. The results are not there. There hasn’t be one tangible positive thing accomplished by this Congress. Don’t listen to what they say, observe what they do.

This event leads to the following question ....

The move that ousted the Speaker of course, left the Democrat-led Senate’s President Pro Tempore in the catbird seat as for the line to presidential succession, now that the vacant Speaker’s position was out of the line of presidential succession.

Sen. Patty Murray of Washington holds that seat. That could clear the path for Democrats to get Joe Biden and Kamala Harris out of the way and put in a different Democrat in the presidential chair. It was said that Chuck Schumer was already scheming.

If if they couldn’t pull off that maneuver, it was obvious that Democrats would benefit from the chaos of the GOP not having a leader.

McCarthy was chosen the leader after a difficult series of votes. Who the new leader will be is awfully uncertain if they couldn’t keep even McCarthy, who has or at least had President Trump’s support. Who does Gaetz think will be acceptable, given that every Democrat who aided him in kicking out McCarthy will vote against that person? Does Gaetz have a plan?

Where was this anger

Everyone in Washington just wants to protect "Our Democracy".

They say "Our Democracy" but they mean Cosa Nostra.

“Does Gaetz have a plan?”

Now that’s the million dollar question, isn’t it. He was on Newsmax last night and named five conservatives he would vote for. Will they step up? Will they get elected? If not, yes, the Dims could take advantage.

Some say that even if McCarthy wasn't performing to his promised standards, he hasn't been in the Speakership long enough to make a meaningful course correction to the heading of the SS United States.

But with a two year election cycle, McCarthy was almost halfway into his tenure, and accomplished zero of his promised goals when he stood for the Speakership.

I say:

I think the democrats were shortsighted. If enough had voted for McCarthy to keep him in, he would have been their shadow speaker. Now they might get a vengeful firebrand.

Total delusion.

The latest ABC/WaPo poll that had Trump +10 . . . damn near nobody went looking for the internals. Probably for fear of GOP oversampling.

Well, it wasn’t. The sample was reality 25Dem/25GOP/47Independents.

Get that through your heads. The GOP and Dems are being fled. There is very little important about who leads the GOP or who leads the Dems.

Trump did this. His rejection of the GOPe has opened the door to party hierarchies being held in contempt, not admiration.

So this article about these horrors of the GOP in the House is not right or wrong — it is silly. It misses the point. Independent voters don’t care about this crap. 33Trillion in debt? Why should anyone want smooth function of a government that has run up that number?

Of course there should be upheaval. The Independents want it.

Funny. That’s exactly how I felt.

They seem to live in their little bubble there in DC, insulated from the horrors outside their door.

Young Mr. Gaetz just jolted them back to reality.

AMEN! Couldn’t have said it better myself. The only thing that actually upsets them is that their fellow pig gets his snout pulled out of the trough. They don’t give a damn what their voters want.

And another thing . . . all this waving of hands over heads about Gaetz has no plan and what do we do now? Oh the horror.

Suppose there is no plan. Suppose there is upheaval.

So what? The world won’t end if government doesn’t function. Government functioning got 33T in debt. Why should you want function?

You think oh, that was THEIR fault. You think it was someone else that did that? Of course it wasn’t someone else. You think oh, if only we had a proper conservative guy in power it would all be better?

A proper conservative guy who does what? Reconfigures government to spend on this or that instead of that or this? What is that going to change? Nothing. It just throws red meat to a different 25% of the population.

Yes. In case it’s not clear “Cosa Nostra” is Italian for “Our Thing” and it’s how the Mafia refers to itself. The politicians have Their Thing. It’s all about them. That’s “Our Democracy”. And make no mistake We The People have no role.
