Lots of things that aren’t very curious and odd, but they seem to be so to you. Governors have run for Senator and Senators have run for Governor. Huey Long ran for the Senate and won as Governor and simultaneously held both offices (he was Governor and Senator-elect). Gov-elect Lake would not be any more unusual running for the Senate. If she is finally sworn in as the true and legitimate Governor of the race she won in Nov 2022, she’ll hold the title of Governor going into the Nov 2024, presuming Gov-elect Lake is not chosen by President (the true President, or 2020 President-elect, as his race was also stolen) Trump as his VP running mate.
