Agreed. They have the capability for self defense, let them use it. I feel the Middle East would be a better, safer place if there had been less treaties and more ass kicking over the last 50 years.
As far as the US getting involved, my philosophy has remained unchanged over the last 50 years:
If you are going to fight a war, fight it. Gloves off, pound them into the stone age, turn their land into a glass parking lot, Do whatever it takes to make sure NO ONE f’s with you for the next 100 years.
The USA can be self-sufficient. We don’t need to buy friends. We should only be concerned with us and ours. We don’t need a global economy to be happy. The only ones wanting a global economy are the ones lining their pockets at someone else’s expense.

GOD will defend Israel when the Ruskies, Iran/Persia, Turkey, the ‘Stans nations (all those Muzzie nations that have the ‘stans on the end of their names, Pakistan, and those ex-Soviet block muzzie ‘Stans nations above Iran, Turkey, along the Black and Caspian Seas I believe is where they are located, Sudan, other North African countries. All these and perhaps others will come against Israel. Israel will not be able to defend against these “millions” of troops, tanks, planes, personnel vehicles, artillery, attack helicopters. This is the Ezekiel Chapters 38 & 39 war. GOD Himself will defend Israel. He will destroy 5/6ths of these armies. He will allow the 1/6th to survive to go home and tell their nations that the LORD God of Heaven defended His people Israel and destroyed these armies by God’s actions. The current war in Israel can be the start of the Psalms 83 war. This war is the nations that immediately border Israel on all sides, even Jordan. This Psalms 83 war will be won by the IDF (Israeli Defense Force). In the end, GOD wins!! Israel wins. But the Tribulation period is rapidly coming down the track like a runaway freight train right at Israel!! That’s another war and story found in Revelation.
