Nikki Haley doubles slumping Ron DeSantis in South Carolina poll

Palmetto State voters are backing the Bamberg native over the Florida Governor. A new poll from the Palmetto State finds Florida’s Governor in a distant third place in the pivotal early Primary state.

A CNN survey of 738 likely Republican voters conducted from Oct. 18 through Oct. 25 shows Ron DeSantis with just 11% support, far behind former President Donald Trump (53%) and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (22%).

While the good news is that other candidates are in single digits — including U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (6%), Chris Christie (2%), and Vivek Ramaswamy (1%) — this survey is the latest to show that the DeSantis campaign is stumbling in a state framed as pivotal to his presidential hopes.

FLASHBACK to 7.18.23: Ron DeSantis says he might get a ‘sublease’ in South Carolina for presidential bid

‘Maybe my wife and I will get a little sublease somewhere and bring the kids and just kind of enjoy.’ Those with short-term rentals in South Carolina shouldn’t be surprised to hear from Florida’s Governor. He may be looking for a crash pad.

During a press conference in the Columbia area, Ron DeSantis said he might get a “sublease” so he can spend more time in the Palmetto State chasing votes in the state’s Presidential Primary.

“Maybe my wife and I will get a little sublease somewhere and bring the kids and just kind of enjoy,” DeSantis said, promising that Palmetto State Republicans would see “a lot of us — or a lot of me, at least.”

Once again this proves the theory that the more they see, the less they like.

Which one is smart enough to drop out first?

It could take a while.

A long while

How embarrassing for him. He really needs to drop out and support Trump.

Anyone at all doubting that Ron DeSantis is not wearing something in his boots to make him taller needs to watch the video of Ron linked to by Conservative98 at post #1.

This is embarrassing!

Expect Desantis to dropout before Iowa...this is his last push and all these Desimps who have TDS basically can start to recover and get ready to back Trump...Desantis was always a disaster...just that TDS blinded his supports to that fact...Nikki Haley will beat him in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

The headline for this article should read “Haley trailing badly in her homestate”. With two S.C. elected officials in the race, DeSantis never expected to be much of a factor there. This will officially eliminate Tim Scott.

Wait, the former governor of South Carolina is ahead of the governor of Florida in a poll of (checks notes) South Carolina?

Wow!

Haley is being pushed by Fox, given softballs at debates by the girl mods over and over.

It is sickening.

I can’t stand her.

Why on Earth is anyone talking about DeSantis and Haley and anyone else when Trump is leaving them in his dust?!

Desantis best poll numbers were right before he announced.
It’s been downhill ever since.

To expose the RINOs, NeverTrumpers and Desimps who sought to take out President Trump and who were spewing BS that Trump was finished and DeSantis was the future.

Given she was once governor there, it should be no surprise.
