Jordanian national arrested in Houston allegedly planned attack on Jews
NY Post ^ | Nov. 3, 2023 | Melissa Koenig

Posted on 11/03/2023 10:59:12 AM PDT by SJackson

A “radical” Jordanian national living in Texas was allegedly plotting an attack on Houston’s Jewish community before he was arrested on gun charges.

Sohaib Abuayyash, 20, had been studying how to build bombs and posted about his support for killing Jews, federal officials claim.

“He has viewed specific and detailed content posted by radical organizations on the internet, including lessons on how to construct bombs or explosive devices,” FBI Director Chris Wray told the Senate Homeland Security Committee, though he declined to identify Abuayyash by name.

“And that defendant has made statements to others that support the killing of individuals of particular religious faiths.”

Abuayyash even allegedly made a direct reference in one social media post about an event in Houston for the Jewish community, according to court documents obtained by CNN.

It did not include details about the target and time of the alleged attack.

Abuayyash is behind bars on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by someone with a non-immigrant visa, and US Magistrate Judge Christina Bryan has ruled he should remain detained pending trial.

She wrote in court documents that Abuayyash spoke of committing martyrdom in support of a religious cause and made statements “that he wants to go to Gaza to fight,” according to documents also obtained by CBS News.

“He has viewed specific and detailed content posted by radical organizations on the Internet, including lessons on how to construct bombs or explosive devices,” she wrote.

An affidavit filed Oct. 19 in the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas also says Abuayyash “has been in direct contact with others who share a radical mindset, has been conducting physical training and has trained with weapons to possibly commit an attack.”

And how many thousands of others are living here like this “non citizen”. Which mosque does he go to and who else is lurking in the shadows ready to do harm to Jews/Christians/Buddhists etc. etc.

Along with things like criminal record and mental health commitments, I know they're not complete, the NICS system should be able to cross check things like citizenship (passport records) or visa overstays. Estimates are that there are nearly 700,000 overstays a year, of over 55 million. Perhaps government computers are too old to do things like that.

And where did this training occur?

They haven’t said. I presume they’re pressuring him him, he’s only charged on gun charges so far.

What kind of “non-immigrant” visa? (student, visitor, temporary work, etc.) When does it expire? What has he been doing since setting foot on US soil? Does he have family in the US? Are they also Muslim?? Give us the whole story???

It’s another immigration problem. Do not conflate this as a gun control issue. It is a Muslim control issue.

Don’t know, but I believe without renewal they expire within 6 months. His expired in 2019. I don’t think much info, if any, has been released on this. They story seems to be based on arrest records. He’s charged with Federal “gun violations”, presumably lying on the 4473, like Hunter. Once they established he lied on the form, on a non immigrant visa he’d be denied, they probably didn’t have to show much more other than his purchase/possession of a firearm.

Isn’t it interesting that all over the world we read about people and groups specifically targeting civilian unarmed and uninvolved Jews and nobody sees the reverse happening? Yet they still think this is perfectly okay, justified and normal?

It’s both. Like illegal immigrants working for employers who don’t check their status in the existing system. If there isn’t a government system listing visa overstays, I suspect there isn’t, there should be. Not just so NICS could use it. A substantial percentage of illegal immigration comes from that.

The rest of the article illustrates what idiots we have at the top in DC.

The Feds began investigating this guy in AUGUST after he had already been making threats ... and Chris Wray and the administration keep spewing the line that what happens in Gaza will inspire more attacks after Oct 7.

This guy was clearing preparing for attacks long before being “inspired” to do so.

Not to mention CNN at the bottom admits the guy was on an expired non-immigrant visa. In other words, he is an illegal alien and has been able to get around the law by applying for asylum (which means he lied when applying for the nonimmigrant visa because he intended to stay here). He managed to get a work authorization, too... Wonder who he has been working for.

And it is illegal for him to obtain firearms with a nonimmigrant visa, expired or not.

“Abuayyash entered the US on a non-immigrant visa, which expired in 2019, but has since applied for asylum and obtained work authorization in the United States until 2025, according to court documents.

But under federal law, those with a non-immigrant visa cannot legally obtain firearms in the United States....

Right. And any one of them could go off at any time.

As the saying goes, radical Muslims want to kill you. Moderate Muslims want the radical Muslims to kill you.

And as a side note, I was not always this harsh. But recent events have hardened my opinion. Hamas decapitated people. They burned children alive. And Muslims everywhere march in support.

Another palestinian from the Houston area who was planning bombings before this year:

confidential informant, and the entire event was recorded by federal investigators.

The federal agent also said that Al Hardan wanted to sneak into a military base in Grand Prairie, Texas, and blow up Humvees.

The agent says Al Hardan and Al-Jayab messaged about traveling to Syria, and joining ISIS fighters. In an apparently recorded conversation, he allegedly told his young wife that he was going to “make her a widow” after he gets his U.S. passport. Authorities say Al Hardan told his 18-year-old wife and elderly mother that he wanted to fight with ISIS, and blow himself up.

Al Hardan was arrested on January 6 at the Department of Homeland Security.

Prosecutors allege the Houston terror suspect has been assisting ISIS with material support and resources since at least May 2014, and also made false statements to investigators.

Al Hardan appeared before a federal judge for the first time on Friday, answering some questions in English, others through a translator.

The Houston terror suspect is a Palestinian born in Iraq, but has lived among us since November 2, 2009, when he entered the United States as a refugee.

I am against background checks. It’s a violation of the 2nd Amendment. For every instance that people cite for a background check or a failure in the background check system there is an alternative solution to background checks. The 2nd Amendment comes first. The means to solve this problem is simple: Muslim pieces a chit should never be allowed into America, legally or otherwise. Islam is incompatible with Western Civilization and America. There’s over a millennia of history that proves exactly that. There is no evidence that it will change anytime soon.

Shi’ite Children In Houston, Texas Pledge To Be The Soldiers Of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei: Salute, Commander! We Make An Oath To Be Your Martyrs!

On July 27, 2022, a video was posted to the IslamicTV YouTube channel of Shiite children in Houston, TX performing a song titled “Salute, Commander”, which is an Iranian children’s anthem pledging allegiance to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The video had been first posted by the Islamic Education Center of Houston, TX, on its Facebook and YouTube accounts, but these posts were later removed. The children performed the song in English and Farsi. The song’s lyrics say: “[Khamenei] is calling on his children, his soldiers... In spite of my age, I will be your army’s commander... May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, I will sacrifice everything for you... I make an oath to be your martyr, Ali.”
