In 2009, the Soccer Mom Law went into effect; ALL vehicles under 10K pounds are required to have stability control. These are active shocks and struts controlled by a computer.
This came about from a law suite of a soccer mom that rolled her SUV due to aggressive driving.
Automotive and shop trade magazines coined the name Soccer Mom Law.
“Soccer Mom Law”

“ALL vehicles under 10K pounds are required to have stability control. These are active shocks and struts controlled by a computer.”
Shock and struts don’t have anything to do with stability control as the term is used in the industry.
“These are active shocks and struts controlled by a computer.”
I’ve had several vehicles made since then, and none of them have or had active shocks or struts.
