This year will be both earth’s warmest year on record and the conclusion of the warmest nine-year period on record, the United Nations’ World Meteorological Organization (WMO) projected Thursday.
The past year has already set a number of temperature records, and the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service earlier said 2023 was on track to be the warmest known year. Despite the remaining time in the year, the WMO said in a statement that 2023’s temperatures have already outflanked the previous warmest years, 2016 and 2020, to the point that it is almost certain to break the record.
WMO data through the end of October indicates that 2023 was approximately 1.4 degrees Celsius hotter than the preindustrial 1850-1900 period. In addition to the record heat in 2023, the WMO projected that the nine years from 2015 to 2023 were the warmest such period on record. The El Niño event that first became apparent this past spring both contributed to temperatures this year and is likely to have impacts that linger into 2024.

Wow! I’m amazed that scientists could measure the temperature of the Earth so accurately way back in 1850. Very impressive.
Or could it be that the WMO is just making stuff up to keep the Climate Change scam going? 💰
A fairly normal summer in AZ but it did drag on about a month longer than normal.
The previous three years were much cooler.

Almost certain to be a lie, but even if it’s accurate, so what? Records go back 100 years maybe? The earth has had a climate for a few BILLION. So that means that at the most, we have records of .000005% of actual days, and you can probably add several zeros to that.
We can always make it the hottest year on record just for the UN.
That would be nice.
Sounds like a good time to cut off all supplies of any type of energy derived from or with fossil fuels from the UN building.

Sure it’s hotter than when glaciers covered most of the Northern Hemisphere with mile thick sheets of ice and from the 14th century through the mid 19th century when glaciers expanded and the northern hemisphere experienced abnormally cold temperatures. I would bet the UN carefully removed temperatures from the mid 1930s when things were abnormally hot. Weather forecasts cannot predict the high temperature tomorrow within a few degrees, but when it comes to climate change the data is within a tenth of a degree. This is total BS ginned up by the climate change cult religion.
The UN is now the weather man and we know how well they predict the weather ,LOL
Is this before or after they adjusted the data to fit the model?
I remember many hotter years since 1956. This is the first year I have not had to put on the AC till later June! Usually it is on in later April.
And I remember when we had no AC!
Weird what happens when completely natural cyclical warming trends happen. Just wait till he cooling trend begins... then we can all be treated tO more “the deep freeze, how will we ever survive such climactic climate change? We afe all going to freeze tO death”
But this doesn't seem to bother the climate "scientists". After all, agenda is more important than truth.
Have already had numerous AM temps of 9-9-10-10-11-12-—12—14—16-18-20-20-21-22-, etc.
