A Chicago police officer is out of a job after she was caught falsely reporting being held at gunpoint and robbed of thousands of dollars.
Officer Zondranika Williams, 37, was charged with felony disorderly conduct and false report of an offense at a court hearing Thursday, two days after she was relieved of her duties with the Chicago Police Department, CBS News Chicago reported.
Williams called 911 on Sept. 23 to report that she had been robbed of $5,000 in cash in the alleyway by her garage in the 8000 block of South Wabash Avenue. She told the operator that she was a police officer but was not on duty at the time, prosecutors said.
The eight-year veteran of the department gave a detailed account of the crime several times and even provided police with a description of the suspect.
She claimed the suspect was armed and shouted “Give me everything you got!” while holding a gun pointed at her, according to the local station. But it was all a lie, prosecutors said.
The patrol cop told officers who arrived at the scene of the alleged robbery that her surveillance cameras weren’t working. Investigators later obtained footage from a neighbor’s camera which showed Williams alone in the alley, the outlet reported.

There was a cartoon in Hustler years ago, black couple reading “Book of African American Baby Names”, caption read “It’s settled, we’ll name our baby girl Odoriferous Labia”.

Here’s what might have gotten her: When she reported the crime, she said it was a White criminal, so as to avoid stigmatizing her race (black). The problem was that White criminals don’t exist in Chicago anymore, so the police decided to dig a bit further and she was NAILED.

Parents, do not name your kids Zondranika.

I wouldn’t bet on that. I remember once, years ago, seeing a college football player whose first name was Estrus. Way ahead of the curve on avoiding sexual stereotyping.
....”Officer Zondranika Williams, 37,....” what do the parents (assuming there are two....may not always be the case...) think when naming their children....? probably find an old Scrabble game some place, put a bunch of tiles in their mouths, then spit them out and PRESTO!! your child’s new name...!!!
