NY Post: State Dept Paid NewsGuard to Tar Conservative Media

The Biden administration could not get around the First Amendment in silencing dissent, but it has effectively found a way through the State Department paying NewsGuard to defund conservative media, according to a trio of researchers from the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER).

The First Amendment is "is so clear that only a politician could manage to miss the point," AIER senior researchers Phillip Magness, James Harrigan, and Ryan Yonk wrote in the New York Post this week.

"And when politicians miss the point of a straightforward, necessary protection, they manage to find all kinds of people willing to help them place ideology above constitutionality, common sense, and simple decency.

"We give you the Biden State Department and NewsGuard."

Nazi Newsgard targeted everything that reflected well on the Right.

They should spend the rest of their lives in Prison.

A prison in a nasty foreign country.

They could create a prison newspaper for the prisoners to read.

“Newsguard” is a nasty attack pit bull, staffed with people whose only response to their upbringing is to spill out all their accumulated bile and vituperation on the targets they are directed at.

Not fair. Not balanced. On so many levels.

They point to the lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton this week along with The Daily Wire and The Federalist, alleging the State Department has been funding technology to "render disfavored press outlets unprofitable."

You can see why the deep state is so desperate to take down AG Ken Paxton.

Conservative media?

Tucker Carlson, The New York Post, News Max, The Babylon Bee, Regnery Publishing, etc.

Somebody on facebook seriously argued to me that the Babylon Bee was dangerous because "some people" might mistake its satire for serious news. Obviously people not nearly as enlightened as he. The people making these "arguments" are the same kind of people who said that George W. Bush was "literally Hitler."

The remedy suggested for the danger posed by the Babylon Bee was to suppress their access to the internet. These people are unrelenting jerks.

FREEPER ACTION PROJECT

Call Congress NOW
(202) 224-3121
Tell them your state and zip, they’ll connect you.

MESSAGE Americans’ tax dollars are being confiscated by censorship organization NewsGuard Technologies
<><>this is in violation of Consumer Protection Law,
<><>and Section 5(a) of the Federal Trade Commission Act,
<><>laws and rules that protects consumers from unfair business practices.

Congress should strip funding from the censorship group, NewsGuard, in the latest National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) since it received a $750,000 taxpayer-funded grant from the Department of Defense.

If a govt organization is suspected of having political bias, that’s unconstitutional.
The US government cannot support that w/ tax dollars.

And this: a very pertinent point regarding the “outsourcing of censorship.”

NDAA SECTION 1532 “That which government is
constitutionally prohibited from doing, it cannot
contract with others to do.”

Congress must make sure that Section 1532 is preserved in the final version of the NDAA.

On Sept 7, 2021, the U.S. Dept of Defense gave $749,387 tax dollars to Newsguard Technologies
<><>a private service that scores media outlets on “reliability” and “trust.”
<><>Roughly 40,000 subscribers buy Newsguard subscriptions,
<><>a system of “Nutrition Labels” supposedly emphasizing “safe” content.
<><>Newsguard’s customers include universities and libraries,
<><>users are presented with warning labels as follows
<><>”CBS is great” and “Tucker Carlson is dangerous.”

REFERENCE NewsGuard bills itself ‘The Internet Trust Tool’ and purports to offer ‘transparent tools to counter misinformation for readers, brands, and democracies,’ which admittedly sounds impressive,” the AIER researchers wrote for the Post.

“But what is the likely outcome when the Biden U.S. government funds Newsguard through something called the Global Engagement Center?”

Faithless RINO politicians have liberally given taxpayer money to very left-leaning NPR and PBS for many decades without stirring a conservative uprising. Why should they have had reason to think another straw onto Newsguard (ptui!) would finally break the conservatives’ backs?

Yeah well, it isn't satire when it all turns out to be true, is it?

Once again, the govt is aligning itself against we, the people, in order
to carry out spying and other rights violations against US citizens.

HAPPENING NOW-—A bipartisan group of senators is quietly trying to renew Section 702 of FISA for 12 more years by slipping it into a “must-pass” defense bill.... the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)..... which is set to expire on Dec 31.

REFERENCE-—Section 702 is a key provision of the FISA Amendments Act of 2008 that permits the government to conduct targeted surveillance of foreign persons located outside the United States, with the compelled assistance of electronic communication service providers, to acquire foreign intelligence information.

call Congress NOW

MESSAGE-—DO NOT renew 702. Let it expire December 31st, PERIOD. It expires if they do nothing, which is exactly what they need to do.

702 is the most abused section of The Patriot Act (*spit*), allowing the secret spy court (FISA) to allow unlimited spying on anyone the DOJ (FBI) wants without telling anyone. They created giant databases of everything electronic on everyone, and individual agents can go into them and track ex-wives, their neghbors, Presidents (Trump), their families, friends, anyone.

The whole Russia Colusion Hoax was so they could spy on Trump, using 702.

Call them now!

(202) 224-3121

Tell them your state and zip, they’ll connect you.

The Biden WH....citing “privacy loopholes” has been sidestepping the Fourth Amendment
<><>Biden is paying AT&T for surveillance
<><>Biden’s fed/state/local l/e apparatus gets warrant-less access to private phone conversations
<><>Biden gets phone records of Americans who are not even suspected of a crime. Biden goes way beyond the NSA’s official metadata collection program.

Initiated by Obama, this secret dragnet surveillance program (formerly known as Hemisphere and now dubbed Data Analytical Services) uses its association with the White House to sidestep a vast array of privacy and transparency laws.Biden’s “mass surveillance” is one of the major keys globalists rely on to enforce its current and future mandates.

NOTE: This is not unlike the level of surveillance
conducted in the Soviet Union and E. Germany in years past.

The Obama/Biden construct, however, is lightyears more invasive and broad based.

Spot on as usual. Thanks for your dedication and hard work!

I hope the future prosecutors dont just give up due to the sheer number of unconstitutional crimes committed prior to the 2020 election.
