Mitt Romney admits his endorsement is a ‘kiss of death’
Biz Pac Review ^ | 12/15/23 | Tom Tillison

Give outgoing Sen. Mitt Romney credit, the liberal Republican from Utah seems to understand that when it comes to the GOP he’s a round peg trying to fit into a square hole.

Romney told the UK-based Independent that he will not be endorsing a candidate in the 2024 Republican presidential primary because his stamp of approval amounts to little more than a “kiss of death.”

“I can’t imagine endorsing anybody,” he said. “And my endorsement would be the kiss of death.”

Effectively yielding to Donald Trump’s dominance in the polls, Romney has no confidence in the other candidates challenging the former president.

“I’ve said from the beginning, he was odds-on favorite to become the nominee, he’s very likely to be the nominee,” Romney said. “He’s very, very likely to be the nominee. Hard to imagine someone passing him, I think.”

No surprise, if Romney had a leaning in the race it would be for the more moderate candidate, former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley.

“I think Nikki Haley has a shot, but it’s a long shot,” he said. “But other than that, I think it’s pretty clear sailing.”

Mitt SOOO wanted influence.

But he'll soon be gone and forgotten, or remembered only as a pariah, just like his despicable dear old dad.

Mitt is worse than George, but it’s a close distinction.

I wish more people felt the same way about his niece. They both should ride off into the sunset only to be remembered as examples of how not to be.

At least he admits nobody would want his endorsement. Seems the honest thing to do.

Romney was a NE liberal Democrat and he voted routinely for them. He then switched parties and started winning while even admitting he was a “progressive Republican”? 🤔

Not a compliment to us…or rather Republicans in districts of where he started winning that they would choose such an obvious political whore.

Pierre Delecto is an outcast in the Republican party and will soon be gone. Backstabbing is not a Mormon value and is not appreciated by Utah voters.

Romney wasn’t a politican. If he was, he would have adjusted his issues to fit the values of his voters.

Srednik agrees.

Romney is for Romney and a Poobah for the LDS.

Carpetbagger who pretended to be a Republican and a citizen of Mass.

That should tell you something, Mitt.
Well, the first step in recovery is to admit you have a problem. So that's 1 out of 12.
Next is to admit is that you're problem, not someone else.

Mittens now realizes he will never be President and that his political future is over.
The Mormon Mafia only has power up to a point and Mitt crossed it when he backed Crazy Liz.
Too bad we will never find out his part in the fake Dossier.

But he DOES have high hopes of governing a planet of his own. I hope it is very soon.

At 77 when he leaves office, I should hope so.
