Biden critics ‘don’t understand anything about old age,’ says Rita Moreno at 92

Rita Moreno says people who criticize President Biden’s octogenarian status “don’t understand anything about old age.”

The legendary “West Side Story” actor, who turned 92 last week, opened up to ITK when asked recently whether she considers Biden’s age an issue in the 2024 presidential race. Eighty-one-year-old Biden is the oldest president to be elected to the White House.

“I think people are mistaking something of President Biden,” Moreno said.

“I think that because he walks like an elderly person — which he does — they don’t think this is working,” Moreno said, pointing to her head.

“They don’t understand anything about old age,” the EGOT winner exclaimed.

Age affects different people differently. Joe’s walking (and fake jogging!) aren’t the problem. It’s his getting lost on stage, not once, but nearly every time. It is his blank staring into space, sentences that start strong and then drift off to a ‘never mind’. And then there’s his problems with numbers. Most people wouldn’t care much if all it was, was him having difficulty walking. Most people care about age because it’s easy for anyone to see that this guy is mentally way past his expiration date. It is impossible for him to think critically about anything in any amount of time.

Oh...thank you so much. I was very close to the Grandparents on my Mom’s side. My Paternal Grandparents were hellraisers, and I think I may have inherited some of that too. LOL

My paternal grandparents were both dead, by the time my mother and father married, so needless to say, I never knew them.

OTOH...I was extremely close to my maternal grandparents. :-)

My paternal grandparents were Gloucester Fishermen. Dad was one of seven, and went to work on the fishing boat when he was nine.

Yes. You read that right. NINE.

Then he joined the Navy at 17, and faught at Iwo Jima, Okinawa, and other battles.

Then he reupped for Korea.

I was born somewhere in between.

While in the Navy, Dad was the ship’s photographer and unofficial DJ. He played Classical Music and had all the sailers whistling the Soldiers Chorus from Faust! LOL.
