Hmmm Santa is not wearing a mask this year... I guess its because its not an election year.
Biggest scare in my youth was in 1962 just after we had come off the Cuban Missile Crisis and near nuclear war with the Russians.
Then it all blew over.
Suddenly the news men broke in about 9:00 PM on Dec 24 reporting UFOs coming in over the DEW line! Instant stress! Was it Russian missiles? We were all glued to the TV to see if this was our last day on Earth!
Then they showed a real chintzy photo of Santa and his sleigh with cotton ball clouds floating by.
Didn’t know whether to be relieved as that was all it was or mad due to the return of the stresses of October.
NORAD likely has orders not to track Chinese balloons.
I used to be scared every Christmas. Parents would tell me there was an old white haired man who was going into people’s houses in the middle of the night.
Why is Santa flying over countries that don’t celebrate Christmas?

In Navajo lore, skinwalkers can loiter on the roof of hogans. The word for them is Yana’gloshi.
Since Santa Claus does the same thing, the joke is “ call him yanni-Claus. “ which equates him to a skinwalker.
Funny if you understand both cultures.
