New York City sea levels could rise more than a foot by the 2030s, according to projections presented by a city climate panel.
The nation’s largest city will see as much as 10 percent more precipitation and temperature increases of 2 degrees to 4.7 degrees, the New York City Panel on Climate Change (NPCC) said at a presentation at the Consortium for Climate Risk in the Urban Northeast. The presentation’s contents were first reported by The City.
Further into the century, “we can’t rule out” precipitation increases as high as 30 percent, said NPCC member Radley Horton, a climate professor at Columbia University, although he added that projecting precise precipitation increases “is not a strength of climate models.”

“10 percent more precipitation and temperature increases of 2 degrees”
1. They can’t accurately predict the rain TODAY..
2. How does a 2 percent temperature increase change ANYTHING?? Okay.. it was 68 degrees yesterday but tomorrow, it’s gonna be 70!! Run for your LIVES!!
This crap is Godless nonsense.
Could, would, should. Typical millennial histrionics title.
A foot’s not nearly enough.
“They can’t accurately predict the rain TODAY..”
No kidding. About a week ago, the National Weather Service issued a “Hydrological Event” for North Idaho. It essentially said “it’s going to rain, rivers will rise, but we have no idea how much.” That silly warning was up for the better part of a week.
At lease they admitted they didn’t have a clue.
and when they dont, which they wont, they will simply push back the date further and further each time like all end of worlders always do.
...and monkeys could fly out of my azz.
This is impossible. Obama told us on his first inauguration that under his presidency, the seas would stop rising, and he cannot be wrong.
Yeah let’s waste a lot of money preparing for Godzilla and that other rubber doll attacking New aYork while we are at it. And let’s not forget a plague of flying monkeys that could shoot out Mayor Adams butt.
A couple billion more toms of concrete in downtown Manhattan should keep it right on schedule on the way down?
There is no rule that says you have to post every dumb article you come across.
“could” and just as easily may not
I recommend a change in diet...
BTW...contrary to the media narrative, the most abundant “greenhouse gas” in the atmosphere is water vapor. Climate models do not account for this, which means if they can’t accurately predict precipitation, they can’t possibly predict climate change.
London has already had to be permanently abandoned due to rising seas caused by climate change.

Lol.
These are one trick ponies—embarrassing that they even try this stuff—again....
WOW. Global warming will only raise New York’s shoreline. But wait...This from Yale...
“As average temperatures continue to climb, drought has become a permanent part of our vocabulary. (snip) Climate change, namely rising average temperatures driven by human-generated emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases, is contributing to droughts, too.”
That global warming sure is versatile.
And this from more welfare scientists, I mean “climate scientists”...
“We calculate the mass of all buildings in New York City and model the subsidence caused by the pressure they exert on the Earth”
Well, they did until January 2017 when Trump left the faucet running for 4 years
I watched an old movie from 1964 not long ago. That MAN FROM RIO. There is a great shot of the beaches at Rio, and if you go to the web cams there you will see that after sixty(60) years, other than the usual tides, nothing has flooded.
I will continue to wait this out before Obama sells and move to higher ground.
Don’t forget yer rubber boots!
It’s okay. It’s only rising in NY.
Sadly, millions are believing it.
