Being a resident of the Big Apple can really bite.
Sure, living in the city that doesn’t sleep has its perks — access to world-renowned art, first-rate restaurants, a vibrant array of global cultures, to name a few.
Yeah, yeah. That’s all great.
But being a New Yorker isn’t all Tony-winning shows on Broadway and late-night cocktails at Zero Bond.
In fact, a griping group of Gothamites has taken to social media to reveal some of the most distressing mishaps they’ve endured while in the survival-of-the-fittest struggle that is life in the concrete jungle.

Yep, major cities such as New York have live theater, museums, and Thai restaurants. But if you have to walk through and step over (fill in the blank), how often do you want to visit such places, or live in such a place?

Today in NYC and other hellholes, unless you are quite wealthy, that’s 7 figures not 6 figures, you can’t afford it.
Today’s young ones Uber in and Uber out to a couch rental in a 1 bedroom share with 4 others. Not most folks idea of a good time.

Under Bloomberg (with policies created by Guiliani) NY City hit the lowest murder rate in more than a century. total murders turned up under De Blasio, and then exploded higher since 2019
If you look at NYPD and City Statistics, while burglary is higher than under Bloomberg, their statistics show other felonies have remained stable over last 25 years. I find it hard to believe. I imagine many people just don’t bother to report crimes any longer
Certainly, quality-of-life clearly has declined. That has got to be a leading indicator for more crime in the future

I recall hearing that when Eric Adams was elected , that he would have a good handle on crime in New York City, because he’s a former police captain.
I don’t know if he’s enacted any new policies based on his law enforcement experience. Based on the crime stats we’re hearing it looks like he hasn’t done much yet.

That's a nice way of referring to people who defecate on the street, vomit on the street, do drugs in public, spray graffiti on walls, threaten people who "diss" them, come from a culture where rape is "normal" ...
Our college senior daughter went to New York City - her roommate had an interview and the mother did not want her to go alone so our kid got a free trip. Even though young and having fun and in NYC on their own, they were both ready to come home after 4 days. Said she would go back on a trip now and then but no way she would live there.
Texas, send more of those “migrants” to NYC and other places North so they can add to the cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion of a vibrant progressive society.
The imbeciles in New York City Hall were warned back in 2016 that free internet at kiosks around the city were going to be a problem but they did it anyway. They ignored legitimate complaints from citizens until the citizens took to filming homeless men masturbating in public and posted the videos on line.

I live in a remote mtn area. Love it. My little patch is my sanctuary. I see God every where and in every thing.
However, everyday I watch YouTube: ActionKid’s “NYC walking tours”. I have learned so much about the City. And he does a great job because he was trained to be a Tour Guide.
Unfortunately, he is touring Taiwan right now. I’ll be glad when he comes home!
