First things first. Those who have been watching online have already figured this out, but it is expected that Mark will cross-examine Michael Mann — mano a mano — TOMORROW. So be sure to tune in (Room 518).

Second, welcome to the fight, Jack Posobiec! Thank you for the excellent coverage of the trial over at Human Events (at minute 38, but the whole show is great as usual). Jack joins a growing cadre of media (see John Hinderaker at Powerline here, Ricochet here, Heartland and John Droz here, and Phelim and Ann's latest here) who recognize the seriousness of this case and what an outcome against Mark means not just for Mark, but for ALL of us.

Third, many of you have asked how you can support Mark during the trial. Today in court, Mann admitted the past 12 years has cost him nothing out of pocket. Read that again. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Nada. Despite being represented by three law firms.

But if you're just a regular guy like Mark, the past 12 years of this case hasn't been cheap. So, please keep the notes coming - we read each and every one. Michael Mann is the "climatologist" that's deserves the most blame for turning this climate history that we've talked about for many years:

into the "hockey stick" graph to make the prior warming and cooling periods disappear as though we never knew about them:

Mann's graph starts 1,000 years ago (unlike the one I like to post above that starts 11,000 years ago). It should show that a thousand years ago we were still warming in the Medieval Warm Period, topping out around AD 1300 at a point probably higher than we are now, cooling a lot for 500 or so years (the Little Ice Age), before starting yet another warming period (Modern Warm Period) in the 1800's. Mann's graph practically erases all of that prior warming and cooling activity. Plus Mann's graph likes to pretend as though climate history began only 1,000 years ago, or we'd look at the Roman Warm Period and Minoan Warm Period as well to realize that our Modern Warm Period isn't unique.
