Trump’s team reached out to RFK Jr. ‘early on’ about serving as VP: ‘Wouldn’t write it off’

People close to former President Trump made preliminary overtures to Robert F. Kennedy about the possibility of serving as his running mate, The Post has learned.

“Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature,” said one person familiar with the matter, adding that it was “right out of the box when Bobby announced” in April 2023 he was running for president.

“Anything’s possible. I wouldn’t write it off by any means,” the insider continued.

News media is always speculating in hopes of driving their agendas.

Nothing personal, but it is an asinine idea.

HE IS NOT A CONSERVATIVE.

HE DOES NOT ADHERE TO CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES.

HE IS FULLY INVESTED IN THE CLIMATE ALARMISM, AND BELIEVES THOSE WHO DISAGREE SHOULD BE PUNISHED.

HE IS A RICH-VS-POOR MARXIST.

RFK Jr. is like a stopped clock that is right twice a day, is right on perhaps two issues. That is all.

I cannot believe I see people on this website pushing this.

It’s a form of the JFK Cult reasserting itself.

It is no use. I am appalled and disappointed at the blazing lack of critical thinking on this forum.

It is astonishing.

It HAS to be something like that.

It is disillusioning to say the least.

She vetoed the first bill because it was poorly written.
Signed the re-written bill.

“This should be interesting…”

RFKjr was asked this question early on. He’s not interested and stated point blank that he’s not a fan.

Let it go, it’s a fantasy, and nothing more.

No. There is a deep bench of Constitution loving, baby loving people. There is NO REASON to support a Democrat VP.
NO. NO. NO.

Amazing how many people believe Kennedys bullsh*t.

That gullibility, alone, highlights why were in the position were in

Hell, might as well have Pres Trump pick Steny Hoyer or Schumer.

Kennedy is a LEFTIST. Nothing less.

“The Kennedy Cult is alive and well here!”

If they did even a one-hour search into RFK’s history they’d be singing a different tune. The man is absolutely dreadful!

Most people in his circle believe he goaded his wife into her suicide.

His womanizing would put his Uncle Teddy and Bill Clinton to shame.

People need to read this book!
They don’t have to believe it but it would do them good to hear a non-messianic view from a former acolyte.

Exactly as I said, Governor Noem doubled down on stupid and made the legislature water down their anti-grooming legislation. She is a liberal stooge of globalist donors. She can wonder off in a South Dakota prairie with John Thune and Tom Daschle and take her three electoral votes with her.

Running with the left of center mainstream media’s fears and slander hook line and sinker is what I would consider lack of critical thinking.

You don’t specify your views in your post on RFK Jr., so I am not sure I understand your post. So I did due diligence and looked at your posting history to see where you stand.

If you disagree with me, why not say so clearly and we can have discourse on it?

It is clear you think RFK Jr. would be a fine choice as a VP. If I am wrong, say so, but I had to glean this from your other posts.

But if you wish to criticize me for a “lack of critical thinking” which it is clear from your stance you wish to do, I would throw that right back at you and instruct you to read the voluminous posts (right here on this thread for you) that have RFK Jr’s OWN words saying EXACTLY the things that people deem to be “Non-MAGA”.

It isn’t a shallow characterization like the one you make of “Running with the left of center mainstream media’s fears and slander hook line and sinker”, it is his OWN verbiage.

I suggest that it is you who lacks critical thinking, in either being all in on some Kennedy worship thing, or seeing RFK Jr’s ONE stance on COVID, that compels you to think he would be fine as Trump’s running mate, regardless of his stances on making people climate criminals or being completely down with DEI and Marxist victimology.

If you feel that COVID response is the end-all and be-all and everything else, military, foreign affairs, tyrannical government and such are simply insignificant compared to COVID, why don’t you say so? Just go ahead and say it?

But thinking you are practicing 3-D Chess because you think selecting a near Marxist simply because the Left hates him too isn’t what I would call “Critical Thinking”.

At least listen to the podcasts or long form interviews for anyone that is seriously interested in his “own verbiage” versus the selective editing of a media that is rightly vilified in every other respect except when it is easy and convenient not to do so.
