So some Democrats don't want to deport the little darlings when they drive in a drunken state.

You can't even visit Canada, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, and Malaysia if you have a DUI on your record.

One of the Democrats' treasured ones ran over me fourteen years ago and I spent an entire summer in the hospital. I still have problems to this day.

The illegal had already been arrested twice for DUI, almost killed another person and then got caught again in Mississippi.

Democrats hate you.

Like the woman who founded Mothers Against Drunk Driving there will have to be a deadly tragedy involving Democrats who voted to let the dangerous illegals go on driving.

DOA at the Senate, and if by some miracle it passes there, it's DOA on Dementia Joe's desk.

Kabuki theater by the Rs who can't get real work done, like a real budget package instead of yet another continuing resolution.

Good strategy.
Lets see what the Senate does with this.
Clearly the winds have changed in the GOP Senate and they are scared.

I hate to say this, but this will cause trouble. Every judge in every blue state will now simply refuse to impose a DUI conviction. The Republicans just need to be able to hop all over arrests that didn’t lead to convictions but did lead to tragedies, repeat offenses, etc.

It isn’t a stretch to get from these laws to deporting illegal migrants who broke other laws... like, how about immigration laws?

The measure passed with the support of 274 lawmakers...

...who somehow and oddly happened to listen to their constituents.

Illegals shouldn’t have driving privileges anyway. When I lived in South Florida many illegals carried fake insurance cards and if they caused an accident there was nobody to collect from. Happened to a friend of mine whose trailer was damaged from one of them. He went to the police and reported the fake insurance card but the cops just brushed him off and said there was nothing they could do. Another guy I knew in California had a drunk illegal crash into his house causing extensive damage and he had no insurance either.

...migrants caught driving under the influence CAN be deported...

Nothing Burger. The legislation should say MUST. This sounds like it is left it up to this administration and a liberal beauracracy.

They had some retired NY cop lieutenant on Fox this morning claiming that those illegals who beat up the cops in NY and then released with no bail couldn’t be deported!

He said that Venezuela wouldn’t take them back!

What The Hell Is He Talking About?🤬

The home country of All This Trash can Refuse to take them back!?

What will those countries do if we drop them from the air!🤔

Why do we need this law? Every illegal should be deported.

So democrats want the intruders to kill innocents without any consequence, just so as to be sure of getting their votes. (They’re not citizens - they can’t legally vote - but will anyway)

How about enforcing the existing laws that people who come here illegally are breaking the law, and should be charged. What Congress needs to do, is introduce, and pass a Bill, that makes coming here illegally, a First-Degree felony, not a misdemeanor. And then require mandatory deportation, or if they are found to have come here more than once, make it a mandatory 10-year prison sentence for being a repeat offender, with no chance of sentence reduction at any time.

The idea that the government even feels that it needs a bill in order to do this just blows my mind.

The Daily Mail headline misstates the Bill where it uses the word arrested:

“(J) DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED OR IMPAIRED.—Any alien who has been convicted of, who admits having committed, or who admits committing acts which constitute the essential elements of an offense for driving while intoxicated or impaired, as those terms are defined under the law of the jurisdiction where the conviction, offense, or acts constituting the essential elements of the offense occurred (including an offense for driving while under the influence of or impaired by alcohol or drugs), without regard to whether the conviction or offense is classified as a misdemeanor or felony under Federal, State, tribal, or local law, is inadmissible.”.
