Is It Safe To Fly? The airlines’ escalating “social justice” policies suggest that things are going to get worse, not better.

The government heavily regulates aviation. We used to understand that every piece of knowledge gained was written in blood after something went wrong. We are losing that understanding. See if you agree with me as you read along.

On January 5, 2024, an Alaskan Airlines Boeing 737-9 had an explosive decompression when a door plug panel blew out shortly after takeoff.

On January 2, 2024, a Japan Airlines Airbus A350 collided with another plane in a runway incursion accident.

In 2019, there were two Boeing Max crashes; the first was Lion Air in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the second, within weeks, downed an Ethiopian Airplane. Both suffered the same software glitch/feature.

In 2013, an Asiana flight crashed just short of the runway while landing in San Francisco.

In April of 2021, United Airlines announced that “ Racial Quotas will be prioritized over Qualifications in Pilot Hiring.”

Today, the FAA says we lack nearly 3,000 air traffic controllers. And 30% of each class of controllers washes out.

Yes, it is still safe to fly, but our remarkable run of safety may be coming to an end. Why? Some familiar reasons exist, the same we see in too many companies, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academia.

The usual suspects are Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity initiatives, Critical Race Theory, and Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives currently running rampant nationwide.

I agree. The lowering of standards to meet “social justice”
is going to cause havoc. The airline industry is just one example.

it may not be safe but be assured the airlines are embracing the LGBQT+ community and BLM and are backing Black history month and lots of other good things for the disenfranchised. Besides “safe” is a relative term and it’s hard to quantify.

This is why China and other communist nations have always sucked technologically and had to steal from other nations.

They dumbify their populace because communism needs sheep to control with an ever changing social priority deck.

Maybe ....
Maybe, this is how things have to happen so people don’t fly UNLESS, they are rich or government employees.
The government might decide that it is not safe to fly, because ... Well, you see what I am saying?
BTW - wasn’t there something sort of like this in Atlas Shrugged (regarding train transport)?

Many things will slowly go to crap and begin to collapse...and, many people won't care.
Many presently nice places will begin to look like black neighborhoods.

If I wasn't eighty years old and already living in a rural area....I'd be moving way out and 'bunkering' down.

Would I even find an affordable motel after taking an expensive flight?

“They[the invaders] are literally overrunning my town here in Massachusetts. We are now a border state. They have taken over all of the hotels except in wealthy communities where the democrat donors reside. I’m afraid of them.”

Most modern Commercial aircraft can fly themselves from takeoff to landing stop with little human intervention.
Most modern crashes are due to human error or some sort of suicide/terrorism/war activity.
That being said, the hard part is getting a pilot that can handle extraordinary random events like bird strikes on take off.
I don’t care about DIE or ESQ or whatever social BS you ignorant people come up with, I want the best trained and qualified people there is. If they happen to be White males then so be it. If they happen to be Fags so be it.
In today’s world we pay pilots for reacting correctly when things go wrong.
Full disclosure, I spent over twenty years as a Boeing Experimental Flight test guy. 10 years as a tech and 10 years as an engineer. Retired in 2000.

Would be interesting to watch a spastic shoot an approach at minimums into La Guardia.

No flying ever again for me unless it’s to become an expat.
