You don’t use nylon, it’s all scratchy.
...and they are given loan forgiveness taking courses like that?
They cancelled my class!!! I was really going to get into it. I’m sure I would have got the hang of it in no time. My stomach is in knots over this.
Polypropylene, hemp, sisal and most other natural fibre ropes are the scratchy ones. Nylon is a much softer option.
Just sayin’
“quietly walked back the controversial class”
Is “walked back” synonymous with “cancelled”?
Or possibly “evicted from campus forevermore”?
Do they realize that these classes will show up on their transcripts for every employer they interview when they enter the job market?
Yup.
Whip me, beat me but don’t noose me baby is the new norm on campus these days.
Or so it seems.
To paraphrase Hunter S Thompson - when the going gets weird, the weird get going.
And it’s getting weird out there
This and so many other examples, shows how “seriously” students take a college education these days.
When I was in college, my peers and I would have laughed, and said something like, ‘What a waste of tuition”.
This is why I focused on saving for my retirement. My children had to fend for themselves for higher education but when I finally kick the bucket, they will have something to inherit that has value.
And in the early 70’s, it was Jane Fonda giving anti-war speeches that caused the most controversy on campuses.
Oh where, oh where, can my super smart Grandson go to College? For now I’m thinking Stanford is still OK.
Any suggestions welcome.
He’s very young now, not even a teenager. And he really is super smart and mathy.
Isn’t Hillsdale the one Rush used to recommend?
I suppose Calculus and History lack the same level of interest if not importance.
And parents pay for education at places like Purdue...It getting difficult to defend the whole concept of college.
Where are these perverts coming from? Why would any University employ them??
When working at a public university I was amazed at the level of perversion among faculty and staff. This was 30 years ago.
Wow, IU/Perdue has come a long way since my Dad was an engineering student there.
I’m glad my Dad is no longer alive to see this, I’m certain he would have cut off any/all donations.
WTH ?????????
STAY AWAY FROM ANY CALIF COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY
Parents need to use their kids’ college funds for trade school.
