DOJ to give Ukraine $500K worth of forfeited Russian funds

Department of Justice (DOJ) is set to give $500,000 worth of forfeited Russian funds to Ukraine as the embattled country tries to fend off the Kremlin’s invasion.

The U.S. will transfer nearly half of a million dollars in confiscated Russian funds to Estonia, which will be then transferred to Ukraine, according to a Saturday DOJ press release. Estonia is receiving the funds first, since “under current authorities, the facts of this case do not allow for a direct transfer to Ukraine.”

The funds were forfeited by the U.S. “following the breakup of an illegal procurement network attempting to import into Russia a high-precision, U.S.-origin machine tool with uses in the defense and nuclear proliferation sectors.”

That’s a far smaller weekly sum than Zelensky is used to skimming.

I smell a London shopping trip for the mizzus. Spring is right around the corner and The Beard needs new shoes.

I wonder how much of the money sent to Ukraine is funneled back to Biden and other politicians and the DOJ. The democrats and some republicans as well as Biden are certainly trying extra hard to send our tax dollars. Bidens were getting kickbacks from them when he was VP under Obama... oh, I said Obama ie... Geppetto

“...Department of Justice (DOJ) is set to give $500,000 worth of forfeited Russian funds to Ukraine...”

What the blazes authority does the DOJ have in giving this money to ANY country. That money belongs to the US treasury (i.e. the American people).

Did congress approve of this transfer? What the hell! Biden is NOT a king, damn it!

As time goes by, the potential for any kind of diplomatic approach lessens. The Ukraine-Russia war between these two non-NATO nations will end, and what will result is not yet fully foreseen.

But with the SWIFT system and BIC being sidestepped bit by bit, and the formation of trade through other non-dollar mechanisms, the US loses, all the while the Biden (Obama) administration thinks it's winning.

As one watches recruitment numbers not being met here courtesy of the tranny-gay, social justice DoD, is is sure that Western Europe's military buildup with reflect the same reticence of the younger generation to "play" at the neocon game.

Robbing any Peter to pay any Paul always results in every Peter robbed thinking -- duh -- he was robbed. Rather in this moment, like so many American taxpayers. Biden wanted to lead the "liberal world order," and as time passes it seems that urge is being thwarted in a variety of ways.

Is it a blackmail payment? Zelensky wants far more but is taking the 500 G because Joey is having trouble getting the 62 billion of taxpayer money to the Uke grifter. The wife wants a shopping trip in Europe.

LOL, because Putin can be trusted now?

We know Putin couldn't be trusted on this day, two years ago when he said he had no plans to invade Ukraine.

We know Putin couldn't be trusted in 2003, when he personally signed a treaty with Ukraine re-affirming its border, which is registered with the UN.

Putin signing the 2003 “Treaty Between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the Russian–Ukrainian State Border”. It set Ukraine’s borders as they were in 1991 & was lodged with the UN.

Bulk of senate new aid to Ukraine, is in the form of weapons and training.

The Defense Department would receive $48.4 billion in assistance for Ukraine that it would then use to replenish weapons and equipment sent to that country to aid in its fight against Russia’s invasion.

The U.S. military would also use the money to provide training, intelligence and support for Ukraine.

A total of $8 million would go to the Defense Department Inspector General to provide oversight of how the U.S. assistance is being used and continue work as the Special Inspector General for Operation Atlantic Resolve.

The U.S. Energy Department would receive about $3 billion for the National Nuclear Security Administration to address issues in Ukraine and to “support domestic uranium enrichment to bolster production of civil nuclear fuel and advanced nuclear fuel,” according to the summary

If anything, it probably tweaked Russian interest in getting special forces into the US...robbing banks to make up for the loss.

This ain't about that. Your attempts to conflate the two fails.
