Abraham Lincoln topped the list of U.S. presidents while Donald Trump was ranked last, according to the results of the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project expert survey released this weekend.

The purpose of the survey, which was previously conducted in 2015 and 2018, was to "create a ranking of presidential greatness that covered all presidents from George Washington to Joe Biden," according to the co-directors of the Presidential Greatness Project, University of Houston political science professor Brandon Rottinghaus and Coastal Carolina University political science professor Justin Vaughn.

Hilariously biases poll.

Here's all you need to know:

"...results are based on 154 responses from scholars "whose work engages presidential politics" and who are members of the American Political Science Association..."

The fact that they placed Washington at #3 being Lincoln and...of all people...Franklin Roosevelt, should tell you all you need to know about this stupidity.

And Joe Biden was ranked in the top third.

Yes.

Really. Now, excuse me...I have to go cleanse my browser.

Like many college eggheads I’ve been around.....they exist in the bubble of academia and have very little grasp on REAL reality.

Media regurg’ of DNC talking points. Soon, accurate polls will be ‘fact checked’ by the leftist robots of AI.

Even combined, their IQ doesn’t make it out of double digits.

Lincoln should be much farther down the list. He violated the Tenth Amendment. Trampled states’ rights.

Something is terribly wrong with the survey. Even the "conservative" and "Republican" scholars surveyed -- and there's no indication of how many of them were surveyed or what percentage of the total they were -- rated Trump as worse than Biden or Bush II.

The survey was of political scientists and not of historians (though the results probably wouldn't be much different).

When it comes to which president should join Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt on Mt. Rushmore, Franklin Delano Roosevelt again comes in first, by a wide margin (65.4%). Barack Obama came in second (11%), followed by a three-way tie between Dwight Eisenhower, James Madison, and John F. Kennedy (4% each)

Idiots.

They also asked the "experts" to say who they thought was "most overrated" and "most underrated."

Jimmy Carter is the most under-rated president, selected by 64 respondents and earning a 2.2 average (1 is a “most under-rated” ranking). Ulysses Grant is the second-most under-rated (56, 2.4), followed by George H.W. Bush (47, 2.9), Eisenhower (45, 2.8), Lyndon Johnson (43 (2.3), and Biden (42, 2.9). Conversely, John F. Kennedy is considered the most over-rated president, selected by 84 respondents and earning a 2.4 average (1 is a “most over-rated” ranking), followed very closely by Ronald Reagan (83, 2.1), then Jackson (70, 2.3), Wilson (60, 2.9), Jefferson (37, 3.3), and Teddy Roosevelt (40, 2.5).

Kennedy is indeed overrated, but it took them 50 years to realize it. Maybe in another 50 years they'll realize they overrated Obama.

And Reagan overrated? Not if Biden, Kennedy, and Obama are judged better than he is.

The "overrateds" indicate the folly of the question. By the time "experts" decide someone is "overrated" they've already downgraded and underrated him.

Reagan was originally low in the polls and rose as respondents realized their mistake. Now he's falling again and they think he is overrated.

But Jimmy Carter as most underrated? Ridiculous. The "experts" forget more than they ever manage to learn.

Abraham Lincoln topped the list of U.S. presidents

I can see why liberals would admire a president who killed more Americans than any other country on earth.

Reagan used to get similar rankings from this pack of Lefties while he was President, reviving the American economy and defeating the Soviet Union in the Cold War without going to war.

I guess we know now why Political Science is rated the most worthless and useless degree.

Anybody know anybody with a political science degree who ever did anything useful — but spout off their useless uninformed opinions?

They need to live in their parents’ basements until they inherit their parents’ money. But no fair killing them for the money — and blaming them for their choice of majors.
