the day of the start of the war in Afghanistan.
We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
Howdy, Kathy.
Any sanity left? I imagine an early bedtime is in store tonight.
Good evening, Pro...hope your spring weather is still headed in the rightt direction.
We got just a bit above freezing today, and they say we will again tomorrow. Then possible snow for the weekend. I’m hoping the weather is gearing up for spring.
Thank those serving.
Honor those who served.
NEVER forget the fallen!
Bible in a Year :
The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.
Marmee’s words echo the truth found in Proverbs that “the name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (18:10). Towers were built in ancient cities to be places of safety during danger, perhaps because of an enemy attack. In the same way, it’s through running to God that believers in Jesus can experience peace in the care of the One who’s “our refuge and strength” (Psalm 46:1).
Proverbs 18:10 tells us protection comes from God’s “name”—which refers to all of who He is. Scripture describes God as “the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness” (Exodus 34:6). God’s protection comes from His mighty strength, as well as His tenderness and love, which causes Him to long to provide refuge to the hurting. For all who are struggling, our heavenly Father offers a place of refuge in His strength and tenderness. .
Reflect & Pray
How have you experienced God’s strength in times of trouble? Where have you seen His comforting care?
Heavenly Father, please help me to run to You in both good times and times of struggle.
Again tonight.... thank you Mayor. I’m late getting to some of my pings, but this one I love. There is so much in God’s Word that gives us strength, especially right now in these turbulent times.
God Bless you and have a good night...
Precious!!!! God Bless our Military!!!!
Good evening, radu... is spring weather finding you yet? How about needed rain?
Very mild here today, with some sun earlier and now it is coming out again to the west, maybe the airport. We had a little time above freezing and maybe a little tomorrow. A little melting every day works for me, but the nights are still freezing. Spring will get here eventually. LOL!
Early to bed? Yes!! Last night and this morning were a bear with garnishments. Multiple ones from out of state. Not too bad, just more complicated. Then half a dozen rehires with garnishments. I don’t see those on my prepped reports (Tuesday night) until the first run (Wednesday mid-morning). They have to be checked for when we got them as to wether they are good or not. Long night and busy morning. But we got everything out in good time.
Good evening, lightman...we will NEVER forget!
Are you ready yet to put your stove to bed til fall?
Hey there, Kathy.
Spring is closing in on us but it’s typical weather for this time of year. Kinda warm for now but we’ll cool off this weekend for a few days, then warm up again next week.
Wet yesterday and today, dry tomorrow, then wet again Friday and Saturday.
Yes, the sun is shining at the airport at the moment and has most of the day. It hid behind clouds for a while a little after noon. Glad you’re getting above freezing for a bit. Feels like a heat wave after those zero temps, doesn’t it? :-)
Those garnishments are a PITA, aren’t they? It would be nice if they were ALL on the reports Tuesday nights instead of waiting until the last minute.
At least you can get some well-deserved sleep tonight. You’re probably ready for it now. LOL
Looks like!
Might need a two day run toward the end of the month but at this point I’ve refilled one cord+ onto the “working rack”...now time to start splitting and stacking for 2026-27.
The emerald ash borer continues its devastation...

There’s something special & humbling about visiting the military cemeteries. Not only does it give perspective & foster humility, but it’s also a opportunity to learn. In this episode, we’re visiting the Ardennes American Cemetery in Belgium & sharing footage of a special moment that we captured with a WWII veteran of the 4th Infantry Division.
Comments from below the video:
Choked me up go see that warrior from the 4th “IVY DIVISION” pay his respects to a fallen comrade—what a snappy salute! He still HAD IT IN HIM! God continue to keep and bless him!
Howdy, luvie.
What a little cutie. And what a touching pic.
Did you have enough clouds to make you happy today?
