EXAMPLE
The most valuable gift you can give another is a good example. "For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." (John: 13:15) In his autobiography, Armand Hammer, known as much for his humanitarian efforts as for being chairman and CEO of Occidental Petroleum, an advisor to presidents from Roosevelt to Reagan, and an industrialist, reveals the roots of his giving spirit: "My father had become a prominent and greatly loved figure in the area. . .It was an almost ecstatic experience for me to ride with him when he was on his doctor's rounds. Patients greeted him at their doors with such a warmth that waves of pride and honor would surge in me to find myself the son of such a father, a man so obviously good, so obviously deserving of the affection he received. He could have, however, made himself many times richer if he had insisted on collecting all of his bills; or if he could have restrained himself from giving money away; but then he would not have been the man he was." "I have seen, in his office, drawers full of unpaid bills for which he refused to demand payment because he knew the difficult circumstances of the patients. And I heard innumerable stories from patients about leaving money behind to pay for the prescriptions he had written when he visited people who were too poor to eat, let alone pay the doctor." What a wonderful legacy to leave your child...the "business" of loving and giving to others. LT S. Edwards, CHC, USN

God Made Them All
How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all.
Psalm 104:24My three-year old son, Xavier, squeezed my hand as we entered the Monterey Bay Aquarium in California. Pointing to a life-size sculpture of a humpback whale suspended from the ceiling, he said, “Enormous!” His wide-eyed joy continued as we explored each exhibit. We laughed as the otters splish-splashed during feeding time. We stood in silence in front of a large glass aquarium window, mesmerized by the golden-brown jellyfish dancing in the electric blue water. “God made every creature in the ocean,” I said, “just like He made you and me.” Xavier whispered, “Wow.”
In Psalm 104, the psalmist acknowledged God’s abounding creation and sang, “In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures” (v. 24). He declared, “There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number—living things both large and small” (v. 25). He proclaimed God’s generous and satisfying provision for all He created (vv. 27–28). He also affirmed that God has determined the days of each one’s existence (vv. 29–30).
We can join the psalmist in singing this declaration of devotion: “I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live” (v. 33). Every creature that exists, from the big to the small, can lead us to praise because God made them all. .
Reflect & Pray
When has exploring the wonderful world God made led you to praise Him? How has He used His creation to deepen your faith in His power and provision?
All-powerful Creator and Sustainer of all, You’re so worthy of all my praise!

(Loving Father, help me find my fulfillment in You.)
To: All
Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:7 & 8

Extra prayers for Israel! He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

I’ve saved this documentary because of the story being told in the first 6-1/2 minutes. It’s worth seeing and hearing.

Howdy, Kathy.
Another gorgeous day you had up there. A much nicer Saturday for going to the office than last weekend.

Good evening, radu...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
Did you get some sunshine to enjoy and some open window time?
My phone is saying light snow starting tomorrow and all week. *sigh*
I’ve been working on my own computer all day, trying to make some headway on my very neglected own things. Going into the office tomorrow, hoping the garnishment checks (a week late because of an AP issue) came in, but I didn’t get an email confirming or denying. Oh well....

Tractor mounted snowblower is still in place because I can still recall the March 1993 “superstorm” and the equinox deep snow of 2018.
But the early daffodils began blooming midweek.
It’s the time of year when I check both the NOAA winter forecast pages and the Severe Storms Prediction Center pages, aka “the battle of the seasons”.

Hey there, Kathy.
Not a hint of sunshine here today. It was ugly - - wet, windy, and the temps have been slowly dropping all day. The clouds are about to move out now and the temps will drop fast once they do.
But we’ll have sunshine tomorrow!
I noticed a system moving up from the Gulf of Alaska a little while ago and my guess is your phone is correct. :-( Too bad you didn’t go to the office today so you won’t have to drive in snow.
Hoping with you that the garnishment checks show up this weekend. One less headache.
Have you managed to put a good dent in your own, neglected stuff today?
