Lawyers for a Boeing whistleblower found dead on the day he was due to testify against the jetliner giant are questioning that he killed himself in a South Carolina parking lot — and calling for an investigation.
“We need more information about what happened to John,” attorneys Robert Turkewitz and Brian Knowles, who represent former Boeing manager John Barnett, said in a statement Tuesday. “The Charleston police need to investigate this fully and accurately and tell the public.
“We didn’t see any indication he would take his own life,” they added. “No one can believe it.”
“No detail can be left unturned.”
John Barnett, 62, was set to testify against airline manufacturer Boeing on Monday when he was found dead in a South Carolina parking lot, reportedly from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Barnett, 62, was due in court for further testimony in a bombshell lawsuit against the company when he was found dead, with the Charleston County coroner ruling the cause as a “self-inflicted” wound.
Turkewitz and Knowles said he was also “in very good spirits” as he prepared to give a deposition against the company on Monday.
“John was in the midst of a deposition in his whistleblower case, which finally was nearing the end,” the lawyers said. “He was in very good spirits and really looking forward to putting this phase of his life behind him and moving on.”
Charleston police are investigating the circumstances of Barnett’s death.
Barnett was found in his orange pickup truck with a silver handgun in his hand and finger still on the trigger, according to DailyMail.com, citing a separate police report.
The outlet also noted Barnett’s gunshot wound was near his right temple and there was a white piece of paper also on view in the car, which appeared as suicide note.

I’ve watched 3 of 4 of the episodes on the octopus murders and it seems to boil down to a few grifters and con men...have you watched it? they are also trying to taint Reagan in it
Watched it, easy to pick one item and say “well because O don’t believe this, then it’s all bunk”. A few grifters, as you put it, and we conveniently now have a government chocked full of them.
Figured the inmate programmer guy likely became too much of the focus of the series, but also see that he was inserted into the series and was meant as a distraction since the filmmakers ran out of steam and lack the ability to establish the same connections the first reporter did.
My point was that knocking off those who get too close are part of a playbook...how the “deep state” swamprats (DNC Mafia, “the blob”, the Octopus, Spectre, Hyrda...or whatever name you give them) use assassination to maintain control (far too numerous to count and even Clinton Body Count pales in comparison).
I am a Reagan fan, but it was quite obvious that there is plenty that he did wrong (especially with his inner circle), the primary of which was having an absolute scumbag like GHWB as running mate (all links of Iran-Contra pass directly through the VP office). The 1986 Amnesty (border wall was approved AND funded then) deal, arms for hostages, October Surprise (but likely goes back to at least Nixon), CIA cover-ups, Aids and Fauci, I could go on but distracts from the point.
I no longer elevate any politician to the mythical status they may have once held, not even Reagan. I’ve decided to err on the side of caution and consider that maybe even our “heroes” were really full of chit.

He was “looking forward to moving on”.
Well. He has moved on.
The problem doesn’t seem to be Boeing as much as the folks working(Engineering and Design) for Boeing and doing a shitty job on the manufacturing end.
Nixon and Reagan were both members of the “Bohemian Club”...
