President Trump released a statement this afternoon on the massive amount of aid that the United States is providing to Ukraine as Europe does next to nothing, and Congress announces a new $95 billion foreign aid package.
“Why is it that the United States is over $100 Billion Dollars into the Ukraine War more than Europe, and we have an Ocean between us as separation!” said Trump in a scathing Truth Social post.
Nothing is going to happen.
The aid will pass and everybody here will keep rah-rahing for the Republicans and accuse people like me who think the system is broken beyond repair of being DU plants.
Second, when you add economic aid, refugee assistance and military assistance, Europe has spent more than the United States.

Quite a few Republicans and MAGA who presume to understand Trump need to pay attention to when he wrote I am the only one who speaks for “ME”.

One assertion can easily coexist with the other. The “system” is indeed broken beyond repair. But that does not mean that necessary functions of government should stop.
It isn’t either/or.
It is just that whatever the US government is obliged to do, is progressively more expensive to do and is done worse.
“Europe”, as in a combo of European countries plus the EU as an organization, has already paid more on behalf of Ukraine than the US has.
This assertion that Europe isn’t paying enough is a US political talking point and it isn’t remotely true.
I don’t think you are a plant. You make too much good sense.
Johnson can simply and accurately reply that Europe has committed more funds than has the US.
