Rule #1: Socialism has failed everywhere it’s been tried.
Rule #2: See Rule #1.
Well, that’s a concern.
Our cities have written the book on failure. It’s like they want to fail.
Hillary?
Students are being conditioned to not pay back student loans too. Removing moral hazard, the lack of incentive to guard against risk when one is protected from its consequences, produces bad behavior. Students and renter dead beats will become addicted to welfare.
Failure is their plan. Tear it all down.
That’s ok, when the landlords sell their losing investment the state will buy them at 30 cents on the dollar and then using more taxpayer money will subsidize the freeloaders to stay.
Who could have predicted this...
Sounds like they found an easy way to do the nonprofit thing.
What I’m seeing on the NextDoor app in my area is local residents taking their rentals and room rentals off the market b/c they’re afraid of non-paying tenants and squatters- who have all the rights in California. This, of course, leaves fewer rentals at sky high prices.
We are heading toward the Soviet Union where the government will own all the housing.
They probably should’t post that on Nextdoor. Gov’t trolls will go after them. I have a vacancy right now that I monitor daily. This woman with fake ESA paperwork got angry that I denied her on smoking, so she called the Buffalo HUD office to have a “tester” call me. This very white, very male caller left a message (I don’t pick up on the rental line-all calls go to voice mail except for my existing tenants). Said he was suuuuuuuper interested in my apartment. I saw the Buffalo area code (we are about 2 hours east of Buffalo). Instantly knew it was a tester so sent him my prequal link like everyone else. Crickets.
And, it is nonprofits. Good. Nice to see the natural consequences.
