Thanks to Kristin for finding the link to this story. I had heard it on the radio but had no link. Seems this home is located within the DC beltway. HMMM? Intesting!

What is Adelphi home? I thought the concrete block was found in a lake.

What I want to know is, was the body found in old concrete being dug out or broken up, or was it found in new concrete recently poured?

I've heard of Prince George County, but can't remember where it is. Could you please pin this down for us. Thanks.

Thanks Teacup for the information. Oh man oh man I hope they find Chandra. This has to be such a nightmare for her parents. Of course creep Condit could care less. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Jeese, some of you people need to calm down.
First off, this was during a renovation, sounds to me like the concrete must have been more than a few months old, but maybe not.
Secondly, I know what you guys mean when you say this, but saying you hope that its Chandra is rather unseemly. My greatest hope is that they find her wandering around somewhere with amnesia or something.

"Um, seems to me the *smell* of a decomposing body would be quite overwhelming! It might have been the smell that tipped them off..."
I emailed this story to my uncle carmine. He called me up and told me that you can't smell past the concrete and would not go into details but said he would get back to me later after he does some work in the backyard.

It seems so wierd that someone would find a body in concrete.
This sounds like a tipster's lead. I can't imagine just happening to find a body in a concrete block.

Concrete doesn't fit Condit's MO. Now if this body were found in a glob of latex. . .

It has to be a recent body, or don't you think they would have titled it "Human Bones Found"?

Any word on who owns the house who could have had access to it the circumstances of the discovery etc, inquiring minds would like to know.

Whatever happened to the good old days, when our murderers were savvy enough to remember to cover their victims in lime
before encasing them in concrete? The true American craftsman is as extinct as the passenger pigeon.
