If that is New Texas, then the World Trade Center is the new Alamo.

You forgot to rename Turkey the source of terrorism for the last 600 or so years.

Hey, what's up with Palestine on that map, haha
To: eleni121
On what occasions?
To: walden, FlJoePa
I wanted to credit FlJoePa for coming up with this idea. His original maplooked like this. I thought it was quite creative, but morphed in the Toaston the one posted first on this thread. He shoud get credit for this.

To: xm177e2
I think it would be more fitting as "New York East".
To: eleni121
Please explain what you are referring to. I thought Turkey was an ally and equally plagued by fundamentalist Muslims.
To: walden
Great map I e-mailed to a few people on my list. ;9)

Your comment is an example of the ignorance of many in the West concerning Turkey. Turkey plays the game to get the weapons to oppress and brutalize their people, including Christians and Muslim Kurds. Turkey has commited genocide against Christian Armenians and Greeks and Assyrians in the 20th centruy and yet the US looks away and has not even recognized these atrocities. The KLA and UCK - terrorist Muslim organizations in the Balkans get their money and supplies through Turkey. Turkey allied itself with Germany in WWII and was the first nation to recognize the Soviet Union.
Need more convincing?

"turkey has done everything they can to become considered "european" and western."
Does that include genocides, brutalities, state narco trafficking, military support to the Albanian UCK, etc etc.?

To: NovemberCharlie
Destruction of the Christian Byzantine Empire
Enslavement of Christian peoples of the Balkans
the kidnapping and forcible Islamification of Christian children for over 100 years
The genocide of over 3 million Christian Armenians, Greeks, and Assyrians in the 20th century inspiring Hitler to model his own extermination program after Ataturk's.
There is more.

To: eleni121
Destruction of the Christian Byzantine Empire This one definitely seems out of place. I can't really bring myself to grieve that one empire has been defeated by the other. The other events seem to be committed against the Emipre's own subjects, which is not generally what people think of as terrorism, just straightforward tyranny.
On another note, any terrorist acts that you know of committed by the current regime?
To: Moonmad27
Thanks. I like playing with graphics.
To: NovemberCharlie
"I can't really bring myself to grieve that one empire has been defeated by the other." If you cannot grieve that singular historical event - the destruction of the Byzantine Empire by the Muslim Turks ...you are useless. As for what Turkey commits today, check out Human Rights Watch or Amnesty International. There's plenty of material there too.

Thanks for the laugh. They have been few and far between recently.
To: NovemberCharlie
They have been fighting the Muslim Kurds, amoung other things, and tactic have not always fit the ethics of the situation so to speak. But the genocide early in the last century, of their own people, is probably the worst, albiet virtually unreported these days.
