ISLAMABAD, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Mullah Mohammad Omar, leader of Afghanistan's ruling Taliban, has accepted what he called an offer to mediate from U.S. civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, the Afghan Islamic Press quoted the Taliban ambassador to Pakistan as saying on Thursday.
"We have not invited him (Jackson), but he has made an offer to mediate which has been accepted by our leader Mullah Mohammad Omar," Ambassador Abdul Salam Zaeef told the Afghan Islamic Press.
In a further bid to try to solve the crisis involving U.S. demands that the Taliban hand over the world's most wanted man, Osama bin Laden, the ambassador said a team of Pakistani clerics and officials would visit Omar's stronghold, Kandahar, to meet the reclusive leader on Friday.
Jackson said on Wednesday he was considering an invitation from representatives of Afghanistan's ruling Taliban to discuss U.S. pressure to surrender Islamic militant bin Laden.

As soon as he lands would be a great time to start the bombing, we can take out two enemies at the same time.

He's a joke, yes. But if something happens to him, we're going to have to live with what a glorious person he was for the rest of our days. Streets named after him, his birthday celebrated, his day of death remembered.
I really don't want him to go over there. I don't want anything to happen to him!!! I want him to live a nice life, and die of old age.

Please have the spelling error corrected in your graphic. Nice graphic. Too bad it's "i" before "e" except after "c."

But, where is Bareback Jackson's money coming from? When he extorts a company in the US, his son gets a franchise, he gets big cash contributions, or his girl friend gets a job. What kind of pay off will he get from what will be left of the Taliban? I suppose they might think that he'd be a valuable hostage. About the best he could do would be to escort the handful of Christians that the Taliban have been holding for trial back to the US. But, again, where's the money?

This isin't the Clinton administration!
We will no longer send the "black Clinton" to make worthless deals both above and below the table.
That is why we have a fully staffed State Department.
The past 8 years are past .

I don't see how he could insert himself into a situation like this. Why is he getting away with it? In this particular case it could be very dangerous for the United States. He should be arrested if he refuses to stop meddeling.

From a thread running on TUESDAY, the 25th:
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson said Monday that he is working to start a "clergy-to-clergy" dialogue with Taliban leaders in Afghanistan, and has telephoned Bush administration officials to offer his help in averting the deaths of innocent Afghan people if the United States takes military action against those responsible for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

He heard Ben Ladin is a multimillionaire and wants a piece of the action.
His goals:
1. Establish quotas for hiring Black terrorists.
2. Obtain a big contribution for his Rainbow.
3. distract America from his sex life.

Isn't this a kind of sign that there's something phoney about the whole setup as it's being presented by the Establishment?!
Isn't Jackson just a kind of Establishment tool who does what he's told?!
If the Taliban really wanted to reach out to America and really wanted speak with a "voice of the disenfranchised" (over here) wouldn't he have invited "the Honorable Minister" Louis Farrakhan?! At least Farrakhan is a "muslim."
Whenever Jesse Jackson is in the limelight, I just assume I'm watching some kind of carefully crafted stage play...
